Imo he needs to go and do something outside of football where he can learn to impose his will. At the moment it is like he is just programmed to come off worse in any given encounter before he even starts.

Effectively though, that means he doesn't physically try hard enough. He's a decent footballer (scored some real quality finishes) who is often casual & doesn't put everything into a challenge or getting on the end of a pass etc. Fans can see it, the media can see it & Bob can see it; he shouted at him after one of his 'flopping' episodes recently. Fans really hate that kind of attitude & unless he sorts it, they'll give him shit.

A good showing today would give him some breathing space but a bad one could mean the patience wears out.

It does translate as not trying hard enough yes.. but also as he kind of lacks the spirit or confidence to get into things his team mates also ignore him as they quite rightly dont have the confidence in him either. At Leicester he tried to complain to AJ that he should have left it when AJ studded it wide.. and that basically brought it home to me that he cannot stick up for himself in his own team. I also think he is a decent footballer but without that basic instinct he is lost.

Well he's right at the crossroads now; he won't get another chance next season unless he mans up.

Well a 'slagging' forum is about right as no one actually 'discusses' Jo its just a competition to see who can heap the most abuse on him. Trouble is when you have called Jo a useless cunt umpteen different ways it all gets a bit redundant so yeah maybe calming down is not a bad shout.

But if you feel you have to post and vent then do so in a fetching green font and remember to wipe the flecks of spittle off your screens as it can be a bastard to get off when dry.

Thank you!

of course people discuss these things.
if they didnt there would be no threads.
some people slag him , some people say he can do better , some have just give up....if people didnt do this the board would become very quiet.
if players are going to be slagged off , this is he place to do it , like others have said , not while they are at the game.

But over and over again? I've been on about five different threads, some have nothing to do with Jo, and there's a picture of Sideshow Bob and then some text about Jo being shit. As I stated in the original post we know he's crap. We don't need to bring it up every time FFS.

are we getting a new kit next season?

Bob has been incredibly patient already as far as i can tell... maybe it was just lack of options ;) Seriously though he has been given a chance since pre-season so i can only assume that Bob sees something in training that he thinks needs to be given the chance to emerge in games, otherwise i can't understand why he has stuck with him so much. You are right though his time is seriously running out.

With all due respect, thats utter bollocks. After a game, there may be several hundred people who view this forum, and if they have all seen a cunt, why would they not call it as having seen a cunt. It might get boring to you, but the fact is that if the majority are saying he is a cunt, the likelihood is, he is a cunt (or at the very least, a shite player)

Fact is, forums are for fans to air their views. We might not all agree, but i'd much rather people did it on here, than screaming blue murder and abuse at the guy during the game like they did at Edghill.

Simply put if I think Jo is a cunt and 5 other people have already said it then what is the fucking point of adding me to the list? Its already being said so I see no sense in cluttering up the forum with redundant posts. As a general rule I don't bother saying what I think if a few people have posted my own view already.

Which is probably why I have a shit post count

Your intial post was spot on and your reply was even more so Bob.

This (and the original site it was born out of) was an excellent site, many years ago you could have a good debate with those who didn't agree with your opinions and views without things degenerating into a slagging match to see who could call who a c*nt the most times in a single thread.

I find it useful for Doug's reports and any breaking news but like yourself seldom post. I chipped in on this one really because it typifies the point you make and rather than get annoyed or try to reason in my response thought I'd make light of the situation instead as it's pretty pointless trying to do otherwise.

But as posters have stated it is about a platform for people to express their views and I guess the message to all is if you don't like it don't contribute, which Bob, is essentially where we are at.

Jo, frankly isn't the way forward but in a slightly devious way, I'd be happy for him to start again today.

He wouldn't be in anyone's first 11, but there's 14 places in the squad for players who aren't first choice. As soon as we have a kid come through who's good enough to take his place, great, but, till then, he's all we've got, as I doubt Messi would be happy with a place on our bench.

Exactly! Pictures of a Simpsons character in every fuckin thread is getting a bit old now. Let the guy just get on with doing his job.

Here's the thing , two weeks ago Jo started against Blackpool and I said to my mate blue wine. I'm glad he's starting Jo and not balo ( we found out later he wouldn't be playing), cos if balo starts I reckon Blackpool will kick him crazy to either get him sent off or make him mad.

Whilst Jo's there, they can't afford to ignore him, even if he isn't so vociferous as other players. However , last Sunday jonno new he was there and made out like he didn't hear his call, probably more like wouldn't hear. He does need to try harder though.
