This is also price i don't get 85 mill for what ffs. Hes good but 85 mill good three great players fuck that . I just hope City never go that road .There is one player for me who make that kind difference in football worth some 80 mill and that is Messi nobody else . You can see that in Bayern game , Messi is not ready Barca machine who destroy all did not do a thing .
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

He scored 30 odd goals last season mate. I'd say that's fairly consistent. Of course he went through dry ish spells but so does everyone. He scored goals throughout the season. Didn't he go on a run of about 7/8 games where he scored? That's consistency.
Would you say Aguero and Silva are world class? Both are also very inconsistent.

I'm not saying that he isn't showing signs of making it, I'm saying he isn't there yet. 30 odd sounds a lot where I'm sure the figure was 30 or 31 with 20 of them coming in the PL. That is a very good haul and he was well worth his PL PotS but at the same time he wasn't treated with the same respect as those who the oppostion had plans for; it was if nobody realised that Bale was now playing free role and playing much further forward and taking every freekick.

Like I said, I wouldn't class him as 'World Class' until he does it consistently or single handedly dragged Spurs into at least a position where they are getting CL. He hasn't done that yet but there's no saying he won't. We'll just after wait and see.

However good one player is there's only so much he can do.Put it like this, if you swapped Bale with our best attacking player, whether you think that's Aguero, Silva, Tevez etc then would Spurs get top 4? Probably not.
I always had doubts on Bale and until last season like many found him very inconsistent but last season he proved he can do it consistently.
Last season he scored 21 league goals which for someone who isn't an out and out striker is immense. Our best was Dzeko with 14.

He's genuine quality and £40 million is about right. The bigger number is a joke. I don't think anyone will pay it.
