I don't give a fuck if it would 'upset the rags' or not..you're sounding as obsessed as they are about us

We are bigger than that now

As has been pointed out before this is not about him being an ex rag..this is about him being an utter cheating whinging greasy fuck

If he signed it would break my heart

Well we have no true blues at the club and we may be about to lose a world great, so IF it happens I'll get my head around it.

We keep hearing that no one player is more important than the club whenever anyone wants to leave... the same should apply when they join.

I'll support City Til I Die, regardless of who we sign.

all that said, I'd rather Messi :)

Its all a moot point as he wont be signing anyway.

Interesting that you wouldnt have Ronaldo, horrible individual that he is, but you happily worship a complete looney like Balotelli - hmm, strange.

"an utter cheating whinging greasy fuck" who scores 30-40 goals a season.

The guy is a title winner, like it or not he would be a fantastic signing for this club regardless of his past.

He fucked the rags off and is one of the very very best footballers in the world. Anyway.. if he went down 'easily' and we gained a penalty for it and we went on to beat the rags 1-0 or if the same happened and helped to put silverware in the cupboard I'd say its all been worth it. Football fans are a fickle lot arnt they!

Don't care how good he is, would hate it if he came here. The thought of seeing him score then doing all his slimy face pulling and muscle flexing in a City shirt makes me shuuder.

No thank you.

We all know that if we bought him he'd be one "Welcome to Manchester" poster away from acceptance... Add on top of that a few snide comments about his former employers and a goal or two in the derby and he'll be 100% accepted by most I believe.

However I do not think the extraordinary sum it would require to get him is worth it. And I don't think he'd come, unless maybe Utd were close to bankrupt, Ferguson gone and Rooney had allready made the move to Manchester. So in other words not this summer atleast.

And... what could we get for the same amount? I am 100% sure we'd get Modric, Bale and maybe Sanchez for the prize of one Ronaldo. Who would you rather have?

Which people? I bet those who didn't want Hughes (& Tevez & Rooney) will treat Ronaldo with the same hostility.

When he does it in the premiership week in week out i will beleive that, he never will though and how can he be the best player in the world if he has only ever played in the most unbalanced league in the world. Apart from real and barca the rest of the league might aswell be the championship. If you put tevez in the championship and he scored 100 goals a season would he be the best in the world or just an amazing player in a shit league.

I'm not doubting messi is absolute class but take him out of the barca team and put him and ronaldo in the prem and ronaldo will score more.

Not that it matters anyway because its not likely either of them will come to the prem.

He doesn't just play in the Spanish league though does he?

He also takes the piss out of the best teams from all divisions in the champions league thus rendering your argument complete bollocks.

He's the best player in the world by an absolute country mile.

no from me, however, had a big argument at xmas with a rag over who was best - messi or tranny. He kept coming back in disbelief that i couldn't see tranny as some sort of god. It would be hilarious to hear his thoughts if we signed him. Providing we could then sell him again, before i had to see him in City shirt

Nice bollox that even I would be proud of. Big no for me, we might as well sack Mancini and replace him with 'The Thug' if this is the way the story's going to go.

Lol at that person suggesting the rest of the La Liga is only as good as the championship. Utter bullshit.

Atletico Madrid, Villareal, Sevilla, Deportivo, Valencia? Those teams are just as good as the likes of Spurs/Villa/Everton/Liverpool etc

Atletico won the Uefa cup last year, Sevilla won it a few years earlier, beating Espanyol....not even gonna mention how well Spanish teams tend to do in the CL.

The reason that Messi has scored as many as he has is because he's simply one of the best player's ever, in the greatest team of our generation. Barcelona are the best team i've seen in my life time. They're something else....Ronaldo's scored as many as he has because he's just a fucking incredible finisher, and they too have a great team that would win our league easy. Barca+Real > any english team.

Valencia were not impressive in the Champions League and the huge weight of goals for Barca, Real Madrid, Ronaldo and Messi doesn't say much for the standard of the rest of La Liga. You could argue that Ronaldo is that good it proves nothing, but I don't think he is as good a player as he was. He has had some serious ankle injuries, and he doesn't look as quick as he was

Sorry, typo. Edited.

Arsenal and Chelsea weren't really that impressive in the Champs League either though really. Spurs were just like Deportivo or Valencia a few years back - a surprise package. One that eventually came embarrassingly unstuck. Sevilla went out to Braga in the qualifying rounds, which isn't that embarrassing, considering Braga have made the final of the Europa league.
