Jo has left Manchester City for Brazilian club Internacional.
The forward was Mark Hughes’ first signing for Manchester City, joining from CSKA Moscow in July 2008.

The 24-year-old made a total of 41 appearances, scoring six goals but at times he struggled for form and was loaned out to Everton midway through the 2008-09 season. He then returned to Goodison Park for part of the following season, which also included a loan spell at Turkish giants Galatasaray.

In his final season for the club, he spent a large amount of time on the bench, playing the occasional game under Roberto Mancini and scoring three goals in the Carling Cup and Europa League.

Love the little comments from the OS.

No good wishes from the club either.

Not sure what all the big letters are for but he got good wishes from micah:

Finally, another member of last year’s squad has gone with Jo Silva leaving. Jo was a decent lad who never moaned or caused trouble for the coaches. And like all Brazilians, he liked to party! All the lads wish him well because he was good fun and a nice guy.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,

The big letters are, did the club need to add them? The other farewells to players who have left touch on the positives and steer away from the negatives. Admitedly its hard to find many positives for Jo so a simple farewell and thanks would of done ;-)

This guy has to be one of the worst signings in football history.
Any ideas how much we got for him or was he given a freebie?

Jeezes. At least he used to LOOK fit. Seems to be bulking up bad. This guy will be out of the game in five years.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Kin ell Craig! Don't admit to something like that!!

Oh it gets worse, I got Robinho 10 on the Away. Nightmare.

I've Robinho 10 on one of my home kits, nought to be ashamed of. Got a signed photo of the man too.

Robbie kick started the revolution, his name will always be attached to our rise to prominence, he made people sit up and take us seriously. For this he gets respect.

Can't defend the whole Jo thing though... utter madness.

I think the opposite, he made people sit up and take notice but only to laugh at us and ridicule us as much as they possibly could.... now they are eating humble pie!
