Balotelli then.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Hmmm

His team mates react negatively.
The opposing players react negatively.
The crowd - including the City element - react negatively.
His manager reacts negatively.
The coaching staff react negatively.
The commentators react negatively (and immediately so, no agenda).

And yet Balotelli, I can only assume because he's a City player, is pronounced not guilty by some of you ......... and the rest of us are retarded fuckwits?

Well, I didn't have the benefit of a dodgy Internet stream last night. I watched it on ESPN with perfect picture and sound quality.

He was fucking showboating - BADLY.

Totally unprofessional and disrespectful to EVERYBODY.

Like I said though, if he wants to attempt a bit of skill, by all means, he should do so. But he ought to do it like he actually cares then. He wasn't even going half speed.

Not for the first time I'm with Ant on this one.
Has it crossed your mind that our manager is the one who lost his head and made an impetuous decision.
He tried to play it down in his post match comments, but it was a situation that he had blown up in the first place!
Can anybody explain what good, giving the media ammunition to attack Mario does?

He wrote: 'Mario Balotelli is fully off his barnet... from now on am referring to him as "The Renegade"... he amuses me greatly with his antics.'

Later he added: '"The Renegade" is definitely mentally unstable, some of his stunts are the ultimate in lunacy. How do u manage such a complex person??'

In another tweet, he said: 'Am genuinely worried that "renegade" might harm himself if this perverse behaviour, is not addressed. He needs understanding not undermining.'

Joey Barton has turned into such a sanctimonious, holier-than-though prick recently. Just because in his eyes he has 'overcome his demons' he now thinks he can spout tripe such as this about Balotelli. What a tosser - pot, kettle and black come to mind

As for Balotelli, it seems as though he thought the whistle had been blown and I must admit I thought I could hear a whistle when I saw the incident. The whole thing has been completely blown out of proportion and just gives the anti-city media more ammunition against their number one target

Used to follow him on twitter until I realised what a fucking tool the guy is..

Stopped when he started spouting that he believes he would "easily" win the apprentice as he has many successful multi million pound business's which he owns and has built from the ground up...

And his take on politics was frankly laughable.

Joey sits on a pedestal in his mind where he believes he is so fucking awesome it is his duty to judge everyone and everything.

Still believe getting £5 million for him was the finest bit of business we have ever done.

Even better if so :D

I certainly remember it being a shit load of money for a player who had just smashed two shades of shit out of Dabo and then proceeded to rant about the clubs lack of ambition, he was done here.. we probably would have taken a pittance to get him out, yet Newcastle paid top dollar.

Unquestionably a super deal for us.

Theres a thread on bluemoon. Someone has gone round a few teams forums to get other peoples opinions of baotelli and his latest world destroying antics and mostly fans of other teams seem to love the guy and his antics.

I dont see the problem in trying something audacious in a friendly game.
We have seen the real Mario at Wembley and he is fookin brillant when it matters.
Mancini massively over-reacted. Grow a pair of balls and get that orange glow off ya face while your at it.YOU LOOK LIKE MY AVATAR.

totally not fuclin arsed about Balo
more concerned about Mancini tbh, esp. given some news i got yesterday about how he did in fact scupper the Nasri deal by spouting off and fuclin up the negotiating process between us and the Arse...this Balo reaction is just a continuation of that (and yes, 24 hrs ago i was singing his praises for his media work, but it's funny how you can receive one bit of info and it casts it all in a different light i suppose.) ;)
Barton is surely taking the piss so people should chillax about him. He wouldn't be the worst signing the rags or City could make this summer. i said it.

if i put my "georgian genius" cap on for a moment tho, maybe Mancini is just sick and fuclin tired of babysitting Balo, and any i mean any distraction or antics will be seen in a different light than say you or i or a neutral fan?

Balo is a talent we need to keep grooming, and not send on some Wookie rampage just because he thought play had stopped OR he tried a poorly executed piss-taking showboat move in a friendly. either way...i'd drape an arm across his shoulder before i'd take him over my knee regarding this one.

cheers

an aspect of this which seems to be missed is how this 'antic' impacts on the purpose we were out there in the US

Key to our success is commercial expansion - and a key aspect of that is growing our standing in the US (along with other regions).

The US is a key market - observe how the rags are there year on year - and this trip will have been carefully planned to maximise positive media voverage of CITY - and taken a lot of effort.

Just think how the staff that put all the effort into organising the trip - into setting up the community initiatives etc feel - all that effortt to establish a positive CITY brand and in the end what is the abiding memory in the US of CITY as they now fly back??

This is not simply a playground antic - we are an aspiring top club and a business needing to grow marketplaces - I was very disappointed in what he did - only mitigated if the 'offside' thing was 100% genuine

CITY have likely been hurt my this and not only in the UK rag-infested press

i can promise you that kids in the US would love Balotelli more than the rigid, schoolmastered youth of the UK. Easy Peasy.

If he would have choked Mancini on his way off the pitch you'd have kids running around in 45 "jerseys" this morning. No joke.

I don't think it will have hurt us one bit. They're talking about it and they're talking about some audacious play. If Balo can get around 20 goals this season he will be a big big star. He's interesting. A character. People want him to do outrageous things. It builds his profile and the clubs. Whether he does stuff good or bad.
