I thought we were talking about absolute shite, who shouldn't be on any field at all, and I rest my case with David Brightwell. Then there's Ade Mike I suppose........................

As the founder of this feast, I agree.
If a player had even a half decent game for us once upon a time, he's too good for this contest.

Agree as first 'worst' player- was about 7 when I first saw this:

That goal wouldn't have been given today. The keeper is "in control of the ball" if he has one hand on it. In the U17 WC in Mexico a player from some African nation got yellow carded for doing exactly the same thing.

I agree with that mate.
As far as footballing talent goes these people were not worst we ever had. Far from it. They may have been huge disappointments compared to expectations and/or transfer fee but as far as how good they were as footballers, even for us, you can't compare them to say Adie Mike. Steve McManaman and Adie Mike aren't even in same footballer stratosphere. Other one is Champion's League winner and other one is pub league player (and I'm only half kidding with the pub league thing).

I think biggest disappointment or worst value for money is completely different discussion.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Gerry Creaney was probably my top shitehouse. Lee Bradbury and Steve Daley (for the money we paid) were absolute dogshit.

Other classics Rae Ingram, Rae Kelly, David Brightwell, Barry Conlon, Bill Williams (homesick for Stockport), Terry Park, Ged Brannan, Martyn Margetson, Ade Mike, Simon Treacey, John Burridge, Kevin Langley, Chris Shuker, Mikkel Bischoff, and of course the mysterious £4m Mathias Vuoso - that deal never was explained, nor the reason why KK never played the guy. Christian Negouai too had the bizarrest City career, with multiple sendings off and a great Volleyball goal against Rotherham.

Older ones, Ged Keegan and Bobby Shinton, and finally a player I had hoped to cast from memory but cant, our big Ozzie summer signing - first player signed by KK - the one the only (thank god) Simon Colosimo.

Can't argue with most but Ged Keegan was a decent player and didn't he play in the 76 Final win against the barcodes?

Personal taste Burt, always thought he was toss, maybe it was playing alongside Doyle, Watson and Donachie in the same back four that did it as the others were far superior to Ged Keegan as players.

Still can't believe we let Colin Hendry go.

p.s. fair play to Clough haters, he is running away from Hendry when he is putting Heath through.

Williamson fits the bill imo although unlike most players mentioned he only got that 45 minutes. He looked seriously crap though.

Jo, Jo and more Jo. Even in League 1 we didn't have anyone half as bad as him.

I'm just sorry he played for us.

I was chatting to an ipswich fan last nite who really rated him for them. He really was awful for us though.

I would say Martyn Margetson but he did well post-Immel despite being fairly gash. And I'll love him forever for the 20 minute outfield cameo he had when we stuffed Wycombe 4-1 in a league cup game. He came on as striker and I remember the north stand cheering every time he touched the ball. He was turd but having him up front was awesome for shits and giggles.

Worst playesr I saw with my own eyes though had to be Dalian Atkinson or Mark Robins. They were embarrassing to watch.

Charvet was toss. Wassel too. Craig russel and as already mentioned, Gerry Creaney. Couldn't believe we let Walsh go for him.

To be honest though, there are many from the dark years we could name in this thread. Van Blerk just popped in to my head. Think I'll stop this now before I depress myself.
