So, what's the problem with Scotty Parker?

Does this mean he motivated the West Ham squad to get relegated, as they probably shouldn't have? Either that or his motivational skills are a myth. Either way it's bad.

Sarcasm ain't lost on you pal ;-)

Shit, I need to wake up. In fact I just reread your post in full, something I will certainly do before posting again. The only words I picked up first time around were motivate and achieve. Missed the whole part about finishing as close to the top!

They finished quite close to the top of the Championship.

There again there's been talk that after Nasri he can only have loans. Perhaps Albiol is available from Real. He seems to have slipped down the pecking order.

Albiol is pants, I'd rather have Coates.

Coates would be good for cover, particularly in the Winter months when injuries crop up.

Are we carrying this on?

lots of teams are in for Coates...Liverpool, us, and Arsenal are the biggest....then theres other euro clubs in for him.

Cerci doesnt wanna leave Fiorentina....so we still need a winger according to Mancini

Hughesless was after Parker when we got Bellamy. He would have been a great signing then, but West Ham didnt want to sell their two best players. Too old and (just) not good enough now. Doesnt fit the profile of players we are looking to buy. Nasri is on the way, Barry will be a spectator waiting for his chance in the Milk Cup, Parker would also be on the bench.

Heard good things about Coates, especially if he is keeping a quality CB like Godin out of the Uruguay starting line up. What of Savic though? Would only sign Coates if he was immediately loaned out to Espanyol or similar to acclimatise for a season or two.

Coates is better than Savic in my opinion.

p.s: its "acclimate"

p.s. it's "it's", and it's also "acclimate" or "acclimatise". Both are fine.

Skybet has Parker at 2/5 to join us. Hell's teeth!!!!

Are the bookies hyping up his odds to attract money to a "sure bet" in the knowledge that the result is unlikely - surely not?
