HAHA

Not surprised though. That man has been all talk throughout his career.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I wonder what Mark Hughes does these days. Maybe he dresses up in that nice suit of his and stands, arms folded, next to his lawn giving his garden gnomes stupid instructions.

You HAVE to love this.

An open letter from the Chairman, in response to media reports in Saturday’s newspapers incorporating comments from former Manager Mark Hughes:

What a strange man Mark Hughes is. Sacked by Manchester City, he was becoming a forgotten man when I rescued him to become manager of Fulham Football Club.

Even when results were bad, I did not put pressure on him. I gave him every support -- financial, moral and personal.

He fully negotiated a two-year extension to his contract. On the day he was due to sign, he walked out without the courtesy of a proper explanation.

And now he insults the club, saying it lacks ambition, and the players who delivered an 8th. position finish last season and a place in the Europa League.

He is not just disrespectful but entirely wrong. Fulham has just announced plans for a splendid new riverside stand that will substantially increase the capacity of Craven Cottage.

In every aspect of its work, Fulham is a progressive club with a top manager in Martin Jol, the man we had really wanted when Hughes was appointed.

We shall endeavour to prosper without him simply because, when the challenge came, it was not the Club but Mark Hughes who lacked the courage and ambition to take on the task of leadership. If people are looking for a flop, they only have to no further than the man who has lost his spark.

Yours faithfully,

Mohamed Al Fayed,
Chairman,
FFC

The debate is long dead about who the better coach is, but Hughes did some decent stuff for us. Our recent managers have all done okay when it comes to getting employment. Pearce is still working, Sven has been getting jobs, Hughes was offered a contract extension at Fulham.

His attacking purchases have all been failures under Mancini and maybe he shouldn't be blamed for that if Mancini fell out with them (Bellamy, Robinho, Tevez, Adebayor, SWP and maybe Santa Cruz would have done better too), but he did make some good buys: Given, Zabaleta, Lescott, Kompany, Toure, Barry, de Jong.

Yaya and Silva were targets too.

Sacking him was the right move, but he wasn't entirely useless and there were some good days that I remember fondly.

TAKE THAT YOU MUNICH.!!!

ROBERTO MANCINI wants Mark Hughes to carry on winding him up — because every time he does it Manchester City hammer someone.
Former boss Sparky took a pop at Mancini before last Sunday's Manchester derby, claiming the Italian was a dictator and he would never have let the Carlos Tevez saga happen.

After his outburst, City thumped United 6-1 at Old Trafford.

Last season, Hughes had a dig ahead of City's trip to Fulham, where he was boss at the time, only to see Mancini's lads win 4-1.

Mancini said: "We don't know each other but I'm happy when Mark Hughes talks to the newspapers before a game because we win.

"He did the same before the Fulham game last November, so I'm happy if he talks about me before every game."

Asked if he would do the same to another manager, Mancini said: "No, absolutely not because I don't know all the managers. It's impossible because every manager has his own methods."

No one was questioning those methods after Sunday and that incredible derby victory.

A result that Mancini revealed won him praise from Alex Ferguson and United fans — but not all of them.

He said: "I had some United fans saying, 'I'm Red but congratulations for the victory'.

"But when I was driving home after the game, two or three fans said 'F*** off!'

"Sir Alex was disappointed but congratulated us. He is a gentleman. He's won everything for 25 years."

The derby victory took them five points clear at the top of the Premier League and City followed it up with a 5-2 Carling Cup win against today's opponents Wolves.

Mancini added: "This is the best moment for the club in 40 years and I'm happy for the fans because it is fantastic. But every three days we have to think about a different opponent. If you want to stay on top, you should have the same concentration in every game.

"We have beaten United but that is in the past. After you have won one game you need to look at the next.

"If we won the title but lost to United, I'd be happy."

Mancini made wholesale changes for Wednesday's trip to Wolves and will do the same for today's Etihad clash.

Adam Johnson could be left out, despite a sparkling display at Molineux.

The boss said: "Players like Adam play well one game but so-so the next. If he listens, he can become one of the top wingers in the game."

One player who is starting to listen is Mario Balotelli.

He scored twice in the derby and has six goals in five games.

Mancini admitted: "He's a nutter in a good way, with sense."

'every time a head poked out of a hole, someone hit it with a hammer'

Fucking fantastic stuff from Martin Samuel. Quality journalist, who is aclass above most of the sad cunts pretending to be in the same profession.

This Hughes stuff is news to me, as I was away. I think he did a great job for City & I admired his dignity under pressure from Frank etc, when imo he held the club together. I also think we shat on him & he took it well at the time, but to come out with this shit now, right next to a derby game; well he's just made a total cunt of himself imo & I've lost all respect for him. He can go fuck himself. Deliberate attempt at wumming has bitten him right on the bollocks.

The quotes from Bob are superb & giving him exactly what he deserves; ridicule.

I love the quotes about the unhappy rags too.

It amazes me that there are still people who think he was hard done by in the way he was shown the door, even worse that he did some kind of good while poluting the managers office, only now showing himself to be the utter c*nt he always was because he`s bitter at the way he claims he was treated.

From the day he crawled into the club he was an arrogant cluless prick, while some claim that he DID sign some good players, the truth is it was more by luck than judgement, with the flops being the norm rather than the exception, even what could be classed as good players came with problems and certainly never fitted together to even look like the start of a good team.

Compare it with how Roberto went about building a team, with the exception of Boatang all his signings fitted into the system that looked better every time he added to the sqaud, he cleared out most of numpties flops whil improving those he could use.

The other side of the coin is the damage done to the club by the dogs bastard, besides landing us with crap players on silly contracts and little resale value, we lost players like Elano and Dunnie, Danny Sturidge was treated like a c*nt over a contract ( All he was after was exactly the same as other accademy graduates, numpty offered him half ) an then subject to fairy stories leaked to the media by the lying numpty bastard and his "Tafia", A lie that is still accepted by some on this board I am disapointed to see.

On the fairy stories in the media routine Danny was not the only victim, Dunnie, Jo ,Elano, M J, and Micah Richards all came in the frame after a run in with numpty, we lost the club doctor and the players mister fixit, both had been at the club over 15 or more years, and the accademy staff were at war with the cunt from the off, leading to J.C. and his senior staff being moved sideways within the club structure to avoid a mass walk out.

So no, he wasn`t treaded badly by the club, his claims of not knowing he was being flirted while after the final game was proved to be yet another lie when it emerged he had sought adice on the matter saturday morning.

Had it been my shout, I would have called him into the middle of the pitch at half time and fired his usless arse in public, he was, is, and always will be an utter classless c*nt.

And Mancini hit back by claiming that his words only inspired the current City team to play well.

Last season, Hughes, then manager of Fulham, was critical of Mancini the day before City beat the west London club 4-1.

Mancini said: 'I don't know Mark Hughes and he doesn't know me, but I'm happy when he talks to the newspapers because before every game when he talks we win 6-1, 4-1. If he talks about me before every game I'd be happy.'
