They don't play us every week and thus don't play like this every week. Usually and esp at home they are really positive.

Infact I don't remember the last time we got out played like this.

You have a fantastic team, make the most of watching them.

See you at the Brit

I have to say Shawn, I am utterly delighted that your lads didnt turn up last night.

I always feel that Stoke are the type of team who could cause an upset, I didnt really enjoy the match as Pulis made no effort to get anything out of the game, I find all attacking just boring (unless you score 6 at Old Toilet). If I was a Stoke fan I would be furious at Pulis about last night.

On the whole I think Stoke are a damn good side having a damn good season and hopefully last night wont have any effect on the teams morale.

I understand what your saying, but we just don't have the resources to play full tilt every game, as I said sometimes you have to pick your battles. We don't play like that every week and 90% of us totally expected us to play like that last night, we have three games in a week that we fancy at least 7 points from, that is far more important than trying to compete with a team we have very little chance off matching on their own turf.

I assure you when you come to the Brit we will have a go, we always do. I have only ever seen us roll over once at the Brit and that was 1st season up against the rags !

Pulis frustrates the life out of us at times but 99% of the time he is proved right, if we get 7 points in the next week he has been completely justified in last nights team selection and tactics. I would imagine you are going to see more and more games like this at the Etihad, most teams now know they can't compete with you and will write games off against you, sad but true.

But what if you dont get 7 points, what if you get three? Anything can happen in football and speaking with experience of many many many relegation battles every single point matters.

About five years ago we missed out on Europe from a single Robbie Fowler missed penalty against Boro, one more point would have put us above Spurs and in Europe, it is days like that that you realise that days like yesterday do matter and you can never write off a game. (unless MAYBE in the carling cup)

With the strength in the league just above you I believe you have to give 100%, 100% of the time to succeed.
