Football shirts are for kids and teenagers. They think Nike is way cooler than Umbro. Simple as.

We are the flagship club in the world as far as kits go, and that won't end with being kicked upstairs to the parent company. Daddy just wants some sugar, and City will oblige, but also won't stand for anything of an inferior nature.

Not sure what people are thinking who believe otherwise....

i do believe it's got to be bittersweet from an English perspective with the Umbro history/brand story, but my guess is there will still be a Nike team based in England doing design work and i'd be surprised if the top folks from Umbro who've done City for the last few years won't get shifted to Nike with the account change.

cheers

It's alright, as long as we've got Cadbury's.

Oh.

They're wrong. And they'll follow what their dads/ uncles/ older brothers do if this was a battle for hearts and minds.

Agree that the Rangers top looks excellent, and I think this will be the crux: If they design us an excellent pair of shirts next season, most will be forgiven.
I'm not afraid of success but I just want us to retain our cool whilst winning everything in sight and becoming the best, most successful football club on the planet.
City have soul. United do not.

Do u want to ask the people over 19 on here if they have a football top of not to have some evidence for that argument or would you rather just use your snidey opinion in the form of a fact?

That Rangers top looks total class.

I'll tell you one thing about this kit deal with Nike....I bet you it's worth more than the GBP 12 million a year figure the media seem to have latched onto

I would imagine there is going to be some great bargains available in the club shop at the QPR game.

If things go our way I'm thinking of getting the name of the last scorer this season on the back of a shirt then bagging it up and sticking it in a time capsule, only to be opened in times of despair. Hopefully never to be seen again.

The real reason we were moved from Umbro to Nike. Nike is looking to sell Umbro.

I love a pair of nikes, tho I have gotten too old for the basketball style trainers now. Still love a low cut or these plain canvas type high cuts for under my jeans.

I've also got a few brazil tops. I'd say there good tops to gash tops ratio is pretty much 1:1. Brazil, holland and inter are all sound. Utd, Australia and a few others are fugly tho.

I'd love Nike if they designed us a cool, sleek, retro top. Preferably with the old badge!
