Absolutely true. Would he do the same with Modric and Bale?

I think the stuff with Lescott was for their fans' benefit. When Everton & Moyes were giving it 'over my dead body' type rhetoric in public, geezers on Bluemoon were swearing that City & Everton were negotiating a fee & that Everton had actually given City his medical records. Next thing he's signed.

It was purely about agreeing the fee & Everton/Moyes trying to pretend they weren't a selling club.

Just to add; would Moyes' appointment not be because he is used to dealing with replacing players with cheaper options ?

Arry may as well just have 3 months off and wait for the Chelsea job to be available again.

He has told SSN he is not retiring, and wants another job in football. Only problem being, there isn't one out there for him.

Probably yes, but Moyes will still get to work with much MUCH better budget and backing than in Everton. And he is vastly superior manager to Redknapp meaning I think they will do lot better under him over period of time.

P.s. I think you are spot on about Lescott case. They were and are a selling club but had to give their fans a show for the sake of season ticket sales.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Moyes was nasty to Lescott before and especially after he handed his trfr request in and because of that the fans turned against him and made his life hell for a while.

Numpties on BM, and sadly now spreading on twitter reckon that Mancini is going to replace Prandelli on the national team and that Redknapp is coming to us.

Never heard such a massive bunch of bullshit in my whole life, I know Bobby only has a year remaining, and he would be a realistic candidate for the Italy job should Prandelli go, but no way in hell we'd go for twitcher!

I can't see our owners ever taking to the likes of Redknapp - he's far too much of a wideboy.

Lescott was practically traumatised when he finally got here, and there's only one person to blame.

Even if Bob did go (which he won't) we wouldn't employ Harry. Khaldoon & Marwood are too smart for that.

All the nonsense about Bob is coming out because he's not officially signed a new deal, but the bloke is on holiday ffs. He doesn't have to do or say anything at the moment, we employ people to do the spadework re transfers, half of europe is involved in the Euros, many of the other managers are also on holiday, so we can't negotiate until they get back, some are sacked, some are just starting a new job, why shouldn't Bob relax for a while & let others do the day to day stuff ? He's earned it.

You need to have passed your 11 plus to get a look in to manage Man City.

I have always considered Moses one of the best at licking Fergie's ass and i must say, i was delighted that he, from all people, made a huge impact on us winning the title after that 4-4.
Everton didn't really needed those points, so after that, imho we went out from that list with managers to replace Taggart.

Let's go on with this fantasy discussion and ask ourselves, why did di Matteo receive a 2 year contract, while our boss decided to delay discussion with Bobby? Maybe because after the next season, Pep will replace him? Those discussion can go on and on, but there is no way on earth, Twichy will be our manager.

you should probably read the entire thread, and then take a walk around the block first, then see if your comment still sounds funny saying it out loud in your head one more time before picking up the keyboard.

At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never turn Spurs into a top four side
Then I spent oh so many nights thinking we could win the league
I was wrong, now I don’t want to carry on

Cos we were back, into fourth place
We were up there till December, but we’ll never win the race
I should have sold that bloody Friedel, should have dropped him from the team
If I had known for just one second he’d concede more than Derby

So many matches, ended up 2-2
At half time we were winning, then we went and effing drew!
And now I’m twitching while I’m thinking, should I have sold Jermain Defoe?
Woy got the England job, so I’m feeling pretty low

So now I’m gone, I’m out the door
Levy just didn’t want to see me anymore
The discussions were a farce, now I’m right out on my ar*e
But I’ll survive, I will survive

Yes I, I will survive
Oh, if we’d have had just two more points the CL dream would be alive
But Ledley’s almost dead, Kaboul’s just overfed
But I’ll survive, I will survive

It took all the strength I had, not to fall apart
When I was up before the beak for that tax evasion lark
And I spent oh so many nights trying to book Monaco flights
Cos I can’t read, so BA’s terms are all meaningless to me

And as for Modric, he’s all front
He sulked for half the season, the selfish little . . . runt
I should have sold him to the Chavs but Levy wouldn’t play
All I asked was 10 per cent to supplement my pay

But I, I will survive
Levy wants the Special One because he’s got more drive
I should have gone to Liverpool, can I go back to West Ham?
I know one thing for certain, I’m better than Fat Sam!

I told them all, that I was triffic
Though as I can’t read or write there’s little scientific
Tactics, what are they? And I can’t kick a ball
For three million a year I did basically eff all

That’s it I’m gone, I’m out the door
Couldn’t stick it with those dirty scum fans any more
Tottenham have no class, my heart was always with the Ar*e
So I’ll survive, yes I’ll surviiiiiiiiiiiiive!
