Det Const Dave Doherty, investigating officer, now on witness stand.
FA provided statements they had gathered to police. They were from Ashley Cole, Chris Foy (ref), Luke Young, Tommie Smith, Fitz Hall, John Obi Mikel, Ivanovic.
George Carter-Stephenson, for Terry, suggesting now that Anton Ferdinand was initially reluctant to get involved with the police. Detective Constable Dave Doherty says 'other officers' may have noted Ferdinand's reluctance.
First and only complaint around the incident was made by an off duty police officer.
Det Const Dave Doherty describes Ferdinand's life outside football as 'unstructured'. 'Very difficult to get hold of.' Ferdinand's 'PR agent' or 'facilitator' Mr Rigby was dealing with the police.
Mr Rigby seems of particular interest to Terry's QC.
Terry QC suggests Ferdinand publicist, Justin Rigby, has 'played rather an active part in this'.
Terry lawyer to investigating officer: 'Did you get the impression he (Mr Rigby) was pushing you to charge in respect of this matter.'
Det Const Dave Doherty: 'He (Mr Rigby) was not pushing me towards a charging decision cos it's not my decision.'
Police met Ferdinand on street in Soho to sign his statement.
