Silver medal in knitting? Has a certain ring to it.

silver is the new gold...mistakes happen.

No sooner have I said that than we win a 3rd, however there is a race remaining but Australia can't be caught.

Shane Perkins with the bronze, it's the new silver.

I miss so much of the Brits competing because Australian TV is focused on watching 2nd place.

If Yorkshire were an independent nation, it would currently be in tenth position in the Olympic medal table. 'God's Own County' is currently faring better at the Olympics than Australia.

Four of the White Rose County's athletes have so far won gold, including Sheffield's finest Jessica Ennis and Huddersfield cyclist Ed Clancy who clinced another medal when he won bronze in the men's omnium event last night.

Coxless fours rower Andrew Triggs-Hodge hails from quaint West Yorkshire village Hebden Bridge and was part of the gold-winning Team GB boat.

Yorkshire's fourth gold medal winner is Katherine Copeland, whose family still live in the north Riding.

for some reason watching the triple jump last night was entertaining....

when these events seem like hard work, it can make a woman who's clearly a 6.5 or 7 into an 8 based solely on work ethic. I like a grafter.

Wouldn't let those peggies anywhere near it lads!

I'd have a go for the flexibility factor though. I've got a bag for life that could do a job.
