Bunch of earthquakes in the Canary Islands. Not sure where Silva's family resides, still David won't be happy.

Depends on the magnitude. Chances are they won't have even noticed them. There are a lot (and I mean A LOT) of earthquakes that are simply too small to notice in built-up areas due to traffic etc.

As long as everyone is ok.

Looking forward to this match immensely. Who wouldn't be?

Oh fucking joy, I'm off to Tenerife next Tuesday

You'll be right.

Just didn't feel the need to tell anybody, but seeing as there is a request for tales of excitedness; I'm excited.

I sort of agree with the team above but I'd probably go for Zabba at rb. Also I'm not sure Barry is ready. If he is then I'd play him, but if Barry did play I'd be tempted to play Rodwell also & push Yaya forward with Tevez & Silva. I'd encourage Rodwell to get forward in support if we had chance of a break & tell Barry/Garcia to stay back.

Then swap the strikers later if/when Madrid's defenders get tired; perhaps bring on Dzeko & Aguero to try & nick an away goal.

I don't think Bob will do anything we expect though.

I would have the team above but swap clichy with Kolorov and start with Dzeko and Tevez...maybe bring on Aguero in second half.

I have a feeling you will get your wish with Kolarov starting.

with all this Kolarov huffing and puffing in the press about him stopping the transvestite tearing us a new arsehole, it kinda looks ploy-ish to me.

Possibly, but Doug's mention of him staying out on his own practicing free kicks (ties in nicely with other thread) makes me think that AK at least thinks he's playing.

Maybe Kolarov stayed practicing free kicks because he knows he isn't playing and wanted to kick the shit out of something! I have a feeling that we will play 5.3.2 with a plan to start with that as a defensive line up and then growing into an attacking one because Real will start very aggressively.

I hope not as I think a proper 4.2.3.1 would be our best line up.The 3 being Yaya,Nasri and SIlva and the 2 defensive players being Garcia and Barry.

Whatever the result, good or bad, nights like this & at Bayern/Napoli last season, are the true nights where you learn things about the whole club.

This is where you put down the little comments in the notebook which you look to improve for the next season.

If Nige had starred in his role in Napoli last season, imo he would still be at the club. As it was, he got pulled out of position & it contributed to their goal. If Dzeko had held the ball up better etc when under pressure in Munich, he would have started a lot more games. What some of the players do tonight will have a bearing on their futures at the club.

I think corners / set piece gunna b key for us tonight, I think with lescott, vinny, Edin n Garcia looked good in the air so far, we should nab a goal or 2 against a real team with average form atm

Doug the last time we saw Barry returning from fitness line up against Ozil we all know what happened. Might be better suited for Rodwell with Barry to replace him later.

Buzzing for this game.Really feel we need to be at our best to get a result. They did not lose at home all last season so you know it's going to take a special performance to beat them.We have the players who can do it, fingers crossed.

We have to get in their faces from the off..this has been Real Madrids weak over the last few games or so..Sevilla was a match that I hope all our players watched.

100% , it would be madness to play Barry right now.

I remember it very well.It might be better to have Rodwell or it might not.Maybe experience is the key for the night and it's not all about Barry v Ozil it's all about the team, players covering for each other and keeping the good shape and formation that Mancini works so hard on.

In one to one situations we might struggle in a number of areas, especially with Ronaldo but the key is not to get players isolated so 1 on 1's don't happen. Got to agree with the idea we need to get at them but they will be thinking the same thing.I saw their recent defeat where they were poor but I also saw the game v Barca where ( for a while at least ) they were awesome.

Natalie pike just tweeted that a bunch of city fans are getting bashed up by the Spanish police, no reason whatsoever.

I really doubt they are getting bashed up for nothing.

Drunk foreigners tend to be arseholes here and I can't see it being any different when we are the drunk foreigners.
