City has apparently denied it and this report appeared came from a source in Liverpool first. This is Liverpool trying to sell and getting the fans to agree to the idea.

We were just an easy candidate for the daft story. By summer, their fans will have accepted he's going and will be happy with the £30m they get and what they can spend it on. Same trick as Roma is pulling with de Rossi

Even thugh City have stated tersley they have no interest and wont be making any bid, you can guarantee The Sun, Mirror and Star willprint "Suarez Snubs City" stroies in the next few days.

Watching the money go round is back page fodder. All part and parcel these days.

Its true to say that your club('s millions) kept mine afloat when we sold you Bellamy - ripping the one true talent out of our team in the process.

I reckon that, if you offered about 10-12M less than what they're committed to paying for Carroll (unless they can somehow write off that deal, which is doubtful), they'd have little choice but to accept it.

But I don't get such dramatic outrage.

For some reason I like the guy. The scum hate him. Hes quality. And that Dive celebration was absolutely quality in front of Moyes. I've actually rarely seen him dive. He gets fouled constantly and never gets the decisions due to his reputation. Much like Mario.

Its that will to win/passion that you need. Vs. Mario who is a bit of a cunt (but also a bit of a character) but strolls and strops around like hes God.

So you'd put him in the team ahead of Aguero or Tevez? Really?

I think he dived quite a bit when he first came over but are you saying he is a diver this season? and any more so than wellbeck, young etc?

I'd have him over mario. I don't really see what mario offers us.

Have you watched any football this season? I would suggest not

And did you see his stamp on Wigan defender David Jones yesterday? Disgusting. It seems he can't go through a game without one ugly incident

I don't see anything wrong with those tackles. Scholes makes ones like that every week and he's apparently one of the best players in the league still. Like all shit commentators I just chuckled after watching the above clips and thought to myself 'it's just Suarez being a little late' ... ho ho ho

Yes but Chinners, one day someone is going to get sent off for punching his lights out and that's just not fair...
