Apart from the reduced viewing quality of the extra 13500 seats at Eastlands, if fully used for 30 matches per season at an average of say, £35 per ticket, it gives a potential of just over £14 million revenue per season. Now I have no idea of the cost of this project but I do wonder how MCFC or it’s current paying fans will benefit
Maybe I’ve got my sums wrong on this but the Citihad juggernaut rolls on regardless
As a City fan, I don't understand your negativity....Nor your reference to the "CITIHAD" juggernaut.
1) Why do you believe that those extra seats will give a reduced viewing quality. I quite enjoy sitting in the upper tiers, where I get a far better view of the way teams set up and move around the pitch strategically.
2) Are you sure you are a City fan? By now most City fans would already be well aware that City and its owners have never been about financial profit. Most City fans would, by now be fully aware of our owner's motives in funding City.
3) It's pretty obvious to just about every City fan that City's success is pretty much guaranteed and that will eventually mean a 47,000+ will not meet supporters needs. A greater chance to access a seat is certainly a major benefit, as is the lower prices that have been promised.
4) MCFC only fail the benefit test when regarded in terms of profit and loss financially. MCFC will benefit from almost every other aspect of an increased capacity.
I wonder at your motive for posting that. Most City fans would not be so anti, they would not referto Cityas CITIHAD, and would usually use the terms "US"and "WE" instead of the colder MCFC.
