Sad to see him go but its in the best interests of all involved. We should never have signed him.

He will be remembered for his 4 goals against Spurs and that goal against QPR.

I do not doubt if he played for a side that suits his style he will be a top striker in Europe. That club is not us.

Perhaps a time to consider the many good things that Edin did while with us?
He scored some cracking goals, some of which were vital to our history, and he's never bad mouthed the club or the fans and has been a perfect gent in all situations.
He was prolific in german football and has, even this season when he hasn't had so many starts, the best goals per minute played ratio.

I've always liked the fella and always willed him to do well for us but it's been (IMHO) obvious for some time that he's not best suited to our fast fluid style of play and certainly not to the furious closing-down of the english game. That doesn't mean that he won't do well for Dortmund though and I'll put money on him making a massive impact for them next season because I believe him to be a better player now than he was when we bought him (especially his hold up play) - if the rumours are actually true for a change.

One of the most underrated City players ever. I can't explain the hate directed at him by some. Second rate first touch, sure, but that guy knows where the onion bag is. His strike rate per minutes played is pretty phenomenal.
