The club must realize if we lose Isco and sell Tevez in the same week it's a big blow to team and fans. God I hope they have something big lined up.

You mean like the week when we first signed Fenrnandinho and then Jesus Navas?
Point being the situation ain't as bad as you'd imagine, like OliverHardy pointed out with wiser words

Big loss but unavoidable.

After flogging Balo and now seemingly Tevez there is no way it will be concrete deal unless someone is signed coming in the other way.

It going to get messy on here in the next couple of days!

Only joking. The truth is that I'm not an AK hater myself. Ok he's not always at the races but I think he's struggled in some of the systems that he's been played in and left back isn't perhaps his best position in every set-up but he does have a good left hoof on him, gets forward well and gives some good service (usually into an empty box - but that's not his fault). He might be bloody marvellous under the new gaffer. . if Pellegrini doesn't rate him then he'll be sold in this window for sure because he's well respected abroad. If he stays then I think he'll be better used and better loved.

Back on topic, I'm kinda glad that Carlos has gone, not because I didn't respect him but because he was getting past it, was only here for a further year, and his going will (I hope) be a catalyst for a hungry new striker coming in.

If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

I can't think of a player who we haven't been linked with that would be available and be good enough to replace Tevez.

Any realistic suggestions on who could be approached?

I was hoping for a little more for him but he was always gonna leave. Hopefully this is the kick up the arse to buy a new striker now, no question of should we buy a 4th but we definitely need a 3rd

Seems plausible since the dippers just signed Mignolet. Would be a very good backup too.

Why the hell would we buy Reina? What is the purpose of this? Buying a backup gk for 15 mil? No way.

There is Suarez, i have no doubt, or Higuain?

again we let top talent go without immediate replacement, unless this means we signed Suarez or Cavani

Oops sorry for giving a bit of heartfelt though blindingly obvious opinion (on a forum that pretty much exists on little other than low score opinion and senseless abuse) but glad it gave you the excuse to put your hilarious sarcasm to such good use as it was very impressive. I think I've learnt from it thanks.

The only idiot is you.

Look at the article above, the deal probably saved us 27 million. And many top clubs would easily take Dzeko off our hands if they had the chance. "the donkey" was also our leading scorer in the league last year

Wonderwall wrote:To be honest, tevez is an amazing player but a ticking time bomb with 12 months to run. We have a new coach, who knows what could have happened? Thinking logically from a board and managerial perspective, they would be daft to turn it down and take a gamble. I think this was always going to happen, shame its not for a lot more money, but at least its not a year of hell and he leaves on a free. Therefore its 10 million in the bank and 200k a week saved. Plus its not AC bottlers who have bought him which is a bonus.

I'm a football fan tho, the second I start considering balance sheets, P and L or FFP when my fav player goes is the second I should start watching Arsenal.

No thank you.
