Seville and City reached agreement yesterday afternoon for the transfer of Alvaro Negredo, who left Seville's training camp on the Costa Ballena also yesterday afternoon and should travel to Manchester this very day for the medical and to sign a 4 year contract. The 'vallecano' forward goes in exchange for 25 million euros plus 3 in possible add-ons, after which the Seville club will have raked in 50 million euros from City after having sold Navas earlier.

Negredo will earn more than 3M euros pa, much more than he got in Seville and a fair bit more than Atletico Madrid would offer. It's expected that he will have a farewell press conference today for the fans, who have supported him since his 14M euro move from Real Madrid.

He has scored no less than 75 league goals in his time at Seville. At 27 (28 in Aug), Alvaro wants to enhance a rise which started at Seville in 2010 and also took in Euro 21012. His dream - to return to the Spain team.

By a complicated formula both Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano will receive small amounts of money due to his time at both clubs, firstly from the age of 12.
