Maybe you should google the name, he's never played for anyone outside of Paris and has always worn the number 3.

Do you people even know what sport you're following?

As Mike requested and entirely appropriate...

That's my bad. The overuse of pronouns got me confused as to who we were discussing. My assumption that it was Vinny because this is a thread about him was way off-base

No idea right now.
We wont get Pepe unless we pay daft money, as he is 32 and after a lot of thought, I do not think its good business.Im sure City have their targets and I hope we sort it out once and for all otherwise this will come back and bite us hard over the coming games as NOONE we currently have can maintain a good defence at the back for us.

not good news about vinny. the problem is, even if we identified a first rate CB and managed to sign him, it would take time for him to settle. in the meantime, out title challenge and CL group stage could quickly go tits up.

It's not definitely 4 weeks according to the official site. However, his injury record is beginning to become a worry.

That's a problem; Micah is one of the cb options & he's always injured, so there's a half decent chance when Kompany gets injured, Micah is also unavailable. Boyata has looked ok pre season, as if he is recovering his earlier form, but he could still be a fucking disaster if he was thrown into a real game; he was tragic for Bolton.

Realistically, we have Nastasic & Lescott as the only current genuine Premier League cbs & they don't play well together at all. Imagine an injury to Lescott & playing the rags with a pairing of Nastasic & Garcia or Boyata. I recon Nastasic/Lescott gives the rags a goal start but either of them with Garcia, is a fucking nightmare.

I'm not convinced by this Demichelis character either but if the Count believes in him, I will accept it. I wasn't impressed by Malaga's central defenders at all personally though.

Any young cb who has never played Prem Lg football is a gamble short term, even if they eventually come good.

For those reasons, even though it would cost, I would sign Pepe if he was available. He may be 30 but he caught some shit off a shovel striker last week & took the ball off him. None of our cbs would have got within 5 yards of the fucker.

I like (the idea of) Demichelis. He's experienced, wouldn't command as high a wage as someone like Pepe, never mind the fee, knows Pellegrini & would sit on the bench if necessary. Has a clanger or two in him tho, but at the top of his game, I rate him very highly. He was ace for a while at Bayern.

What we definitely don't need is another 'talent' or someone who'll need to settle, e.g. players from South America or a substandard European league.

Whats happened? Has he not come on as expected, is he now a centre half?

I have separated them for your convenience, but one was quoted into the next and so on until your effort. Do you think you can follow the conversation now?
