Well there is a lot of talk on twitter mainly from Tancredi Palmeri of a massive deal due to break so you never know they might just be getting the tranny back.

So many things are against it - moyes has a reputation but only for being an arsewipe / the yanks are skimming the operation like mad and wouldn't cough up the purchase price or pay the monster wages etc. . . . oooh but then again . . . freeing up the number 7 and not spending nada so far in the window - almost like they've had to keep interest up to sell season cards but couldn't announce their true intent (that woodward dude's just got to be a decoy!).

I'm not sure at all so just waiting on for Tuesday morning's papers to give me the outcome. More intrigued than concerned at all anyhow.

PS. And then there's that monster signing from a team in white that we're supposed to be making according to this windows long-running TH prediction . . and he has got the odd one right, and been there or thereabouts if not, in the past.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

£85m and £300k a week - that's what Real think of FFP Mr Platini, so what are you going to do about it?

Bale isn't as good as either of those. But he's 3 years younger than both and if he keeps improving the way he has been he can get up there.

He was magical last season. He scored 31 goals in all competitions and he also scored plenty of big goals and late winners.

I'm well aware of how kaka worked out at madrid. That's no the point.

The point is, at the time, we were bidding for a player who had recently been voted the best player in world football.

Bale is not even top 5.

Name 5 better players?
Ronaldo and Messi are obviously stand outs. So name 3 more you'd put above Bale. Only player in PL who pushes him close is Van rapist.

How about
Iniesta
Xavi
Juan Mata
Ibrahimovic
Cavani
Falcao
Pirlo (still is)
Goetze
Schweinsteiger
Kompany
Aguero
Benzema
Fabregas
Muller

When you add van rapist, Tranaldo and Messi he'd be about 18th in my list. Really really good player but not "break the world transfer fee record" good.

Add Ozil to that list as well. I cannot believe Real Madrid let Ozil go...

Yeah, guys is pure class. Can't believe we aren't involved.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

In an article about Bale in the NZZ yesterday, they questioned how on earth this deal could take place when RM have outstanding debts of 473 million Euros. Basically laughing at all of the richer countries in the EU, that have bailed ( sorry) Spain out since it joined.

I actually thought this was a £100 mil + deal.

Didn't realise it was 80 odd. That's what you get by switching channels every time you see his face.

That's hilarious then. Apart from the potential of Lamela & 'Negredo lite' Soldado, Spurs have spunked this & last season's transfer budget on mid table, Fulham type players, who swan around midfield etd & nick the occasional goal, & they still lack a back 4.

Lamela had better be Bale 2 or they're in for more disappointment.

From the Beeb haha

1243: REAL BALE
Bale is back out on the pitch, strip on, under severe keepy-uppy pressure. Three and down! Even I can do that many. Epic fail.

1245: REAL BALE
Deciding that keepy-uppys can only end badly, Bale does a bit of posing then heads off on a lap. The odd bounce of a ball, a few thrown into the crowd. These are not the skills of an £85m man.

Spurs are massively weaker without him even with the addition of the players they signed.
Yesterday showed why they missed him.

Chadli showed a few nice touches and flicks but his final ball/cross/ shot was atrocious. Like Adam Johnson. Townsend looks he could develop into a good player but still very raw.
Also they played with two inside wingers which relied on the fullbacks giving them width. Kyle Walker is shit and the only thing he has is pace whilst Danny Rose looks ok, not terrible but nothing special. Their system just didn't work.
Difference is, normally Bale will rescue them when they play like that by smacking one in from 25 yards or running at the defence but they rarely troubled Arsenal's backline. Also, against Arsenal, Agbonlahor and Benteke showed how vulnerable their defence was to players running at them with pace.

They've put on a massive presentation for him and sold thousands of tickets, what do you want him to do, quick nod of the head and then piss off?

Oh I see, so you HAVE TO KISS the badge because they did a presentation. is that how it works? He could have done everything exactly the same without the badge kissing. I am sure Spurs fans looked at that and thought, wow well done Gareth, good lad.
