Souness mentioned how, when Lescott plays, the ball is like a magnet to him; he always seems to be involved. That's because he puts himself on the line all the time & tries to stop the oppo from scoring. It means that sometimes he is going to look a right tool when he gets it wrong. Nastasic, this season, is often trying to do the same, & therefore having to defend rather than combing his hair watching someone else do it. He is therefore making plenty of mistakes, but he is also learning to defend & getting tougher.

We need to buy a centre back.

Very good Ted. Lescott is a proper defender. Someone who is not afraid to go where it hurts for the team. His biggest weakness in my view is a lack of leadership. He is brilliant with Vinny, who is s great leader, but struggles in his absence.

Also agree we need to buy in Jan & it should NOT be a stop gap like Demicelus

When the goal comes from the sie of the pitch that was somebody else job to mark I am of the opinion that it was not really his fault and as for the Honda episode at least he was in the right place to get outjumped, I have a feeling Mr.Honda is quite good at outjumping people,sometimes you win,sometimes you lose.
