I'm taking it you're suggesting he shouldn't have been sacked?

I'd tend to agree with you both but in the big scheme of things I'd say this was never in the pipeline. Regardless of last seasons results a lot of what went on was between the new board and Mancini. It became clear early on that Mancini wouldn't get the support and it continued throughout the season. He didn't help himself with some of the things he came out with and some of the actions shown in the media weren't what we wanted to see.

However, I do feel he was a better manager than Pellers but that could probably be put down to having seen more of Mancini. Let's just hope Pellers brings the ship around and we now go on a run of games where we get our steam up and bring the points to the board. If he does that and we are in the fight come the New Year then I'll be singing his praises from the heighest rooftop.

Despite what went on at the end of last season, I think all city fans will hold Mancini in their highest regards because of what he achieved with us.
I was and still am made up with what he did with our team because he brought belief and success to our club.
Towards the end though, things became pear shaped and things were only going to get worse. The decision to let him go needed to happen despite whatever feelings us fans had towards him.
Mancini had that hunger and aggression, where Pellers is calm and collected. Maybe the transition isn't going as quick as we expected.
You only have to look at the chavs and the rags to see they are experiences the same transitional problems.
But like you said, lets now hope we get that run of results and be fighting strong at the top. I don't even think the performances will matter at this stage, just get the 3 points and worry about the style later.

I'd suggest the majorty hold him in good esteem and for me he is already in the Legend's Lounge. We move on though with those fond memories and hope the legacy is suitably honoured and that starts with Pellers, and the team, getting to grips with seasons Premier League. The CL is a cash-cow and brings in all sorts of revenues but it is the PL that is our bread and butter. Without doing well in the PL, there is no CL. It's as simple as that.
