So seeing as Demichelis is in, despite being right-footed, Lescott is essentially fourth choice centre back? That's ridiculous.

You really think Lescott is a better footballer than Demichelis? Or is it that he is better suited for left side of CB. I personally would rather a better footballer in Demichelis.

He's a better defender, and most importantly, he has proven he is an effective partner to Kompany. Demichelis goes into headless chicken mode too often for me, and seems to give the ball away far too much.

I feel really sorry for Lescott - he was clearly the better centre back against Swansea. He has to put up with being second best to shite like Garcia and Nastasic, and tonight when it's clear he's he best option to partner Kompany he's second best again.

This better work out tonight, because Pellegrini doesn't appear to have taken anything on board from our previous away defeats.

Big opportunity for Dzeko tonight. He really needs to put in a good performance. I don't think I would have split up the Aguero-Negredo partnership but if Dzeko starts the match with some interest we know how dangerous he can be.

Yeah i really think Lescott is better than Demichelis. Lescott is the second best defender at the club, and the best in the air at the club. Lescott's passing is totally fine and in the past couple of games its been exceptional. Demichelis has done OK but consistently makes little errors in games.

MD seems to have made more mistakes per game since he's been here than Lescott and Nasti.

Can on assume and hope that Lescott is being saved for the Southampton and Arse games.
