Exactly. IMO Hart is one of the top ten keepers in the world. Cast your mind back to the Dortmund game last season. Big mistake if we let him go.

Liverpool a couple of seasons ago when he made a save no other keeper on the planet could have. Spurs 0-0 at the Lane three years back? Singlehandedly won us a point that day. Numerous other occasions, I was hoping his occasional spaz attack moment would have gotten less and less with age, but sadly they seem to be coming more commonplace. A convincing argument could be made for him as the best shot stopper in the world, as long as you had amnesia and couldn't remember the last 12 months.

If Hart and Pantelimon both want to move out, we should let them go and make a tidy profit on the deals.

'Keepers are 'ten-a-penny' and we can pick one up relatively cheaply whenever we want because it's all about priorities :- if we're going to spend big amounts in January (or whenever), we need to spend it on more forwards.

We've got to strengthen our attack, both in order to keep up our formidable scoring rate and as a hedge against our existing players getting injured (Aguero) or losing form.

If we get the forwards (and midfielders) we need, we can play any assorted duffers in defence and between the posts and, in the final analysis, it won't really matter.

Has your wife hacked your account?
Total rubbish

Not so, but thanks for your kind concern.

Some people in this thread are worrying needlessly about a relatively insignificant aspect.

If we can maintain our current scoring record throughout the season (and this is something I'd much rather worry about), all other concerns become largely and virtually irrelevant.

No point in getting ulcers over something we don't need to.

It's not insignificant mate, it's the difference between winning and losing.

Hart is a great keeper but if he returns I have no doubt that he will go back to shooing the defenders away and punting the ball to the oppo time after time. His distribution has always been a major flaw.

I respect your opinion John but, in all seriousness, it's my own belief that forwards win us matches.

There's a military philosophy which holds that it's always a good policy to reinforce success and, as our success this season has been our forward play, I personally would like to see this aspect strengthened further.

However, those are just my thoughts so.......

I know some of you (and indeed joe himself) will be gutted to read this, but I have completely lost faith in him as a keeper and want him no where near the starting 11, cup games excepted.

And if a team gets to the final of champs league, they would play 13 matches. Last 16, quarters and semis are all 2 legs.

Seems handled well subject to how Pantillimon is now feeling although I see him leaving anyway. Let's just hope now that Joe is part of defensive unit that gets better and better

Joe still needs work on his kicking but I'll assume he was a tad nervous as well. Played a blinder and looked back in the mood.
