I think we would all like to give him a shot, but at what cost, I wouldnt pay more than £20m

I would say that not long ago £50 mil was a fair price, when you look at the fees that mugs like the rags etc are paying. But right now £20 mil is probably pushing it.

You expect young players to have a dip, but the kind of dip he has had seems kind of strange; as if something is going on rather than just a lack of form.

Don't suppose it could be that they told him he would probably be leaving, then asked for too much money ?

If we spent a shit load of money on Barkley now i'd be miffed to be honest. He's looked properly gash for ages now. He's barely playing any better than I'd expect Boadu or Celina to do if they had a few games in the first team to settle themselves.

Edit - Lopes has had a better season out on loan and he'll cost us fuck all.

Dynamo Kiev v Everton and then Inter v Wolfsburg. This is a decent game with 2 excellent finishes making it 1-1 on the night and Everton winning 3-2 on aggregate so far. 30 mins gone.

Defending from Everton is terrible, a Martinez trait I reckon. They now need 2 without score to get through.

Well that brings an 'impressive' month for English teams in Europe to an end.

Never forget, we were the last British team in the CL.

Looks like Mancini can't sort his defence. The way he just let the attacker run past him and score was horrendous.

Mancini Out!

Firmly convinced Barca would've put 15 past Everton tonight, the defending was that bad.

Martinez teams are usually easy to score against - unless of course you are in the process of tossing off an FA Cup final.

If Martinez was up against a hispanic team then I think he would've done well, but an eastern bloc one, not a chance.

Theres a reason we are letting him go, and why there wasn't a clamour of top 4 clubs in England after him last summer.

Yeah, we know, but still, he was the last of our home grown players who genuinely had our club at Hart.
