Pity Garcia dropped out of the game after the first 15 minutes or so. He looked really bright at the start. Don't know if Roma marked him out or if he just couldn't handle the pace of the game.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

This manspreading stuff is surely getting out of control.

Would be an odd tactic to mark Garcia out of the game while letting Merlin run riot?

So who was playing where then ?

I've just watched 45 mins & I'm fucked if I can figure it out. It looked like the front 3 played in every position, each, but sometimes it was Zuculini who was up there even though he was kind of deep. I'm excited about this. Kelechi & Garcia's legs went a bit as the half wore on & they got a bit wasteful, but I just love the way Kelechi suddenly finds a ball out of nothing. Again, Zuculini looks a player; decent at pretty much everything. Bizarre that he can't get a game anywhere. I wonder what we will do with him ? He looks a first team squad player to me, but it means dropping someone.

Sterling looks like he will be twice the player at City, than he is for England. On a decent pitch, this game would be over.

When you look at some of the names in that Roma team, then look at Sterling, Garcia, Kelechi; they are just kids.

On the downside, we are still miles off it defensively, as a team. But there is a willingness to work. Also, for this formation, the fullbacks are nowhere near good enough on the ball.

That's a nonsense team. Totally unbalanced everywhere. If they can make that work they are doing well. Denayer playing out of position is interesting.
