That's a bit harsh. There's a reason why Sterling's on the end of all those passes – he makes very intelligent runs.

but if you can't do anything with the ball after the run (poor touch, poor pass, poor shot) then those runs are rendered ineffective.

Yeah, but there aren't too many out there who can do both. He does score enough to be better than most - even prolific goal scorers. For instance, I think we're better off with Sterling on the pitch than with Nacho, although he's got a great scoring record.
