Ive been noticing over the past few weeks just how bad Walker is in the offensive third. Yes he's got pace but his crosses are atrocious. I'm not sure what happened. At Spurs he used to get quite a few assists from the right. I'd prefer he stayed back around the halfway line and let Bernardo/Sterling/Robben take the space on the wing.

I have watched him closely and he is absolutely reliant on pace to get him out of trouble, he is very poor on the ball and his first touch is wank.
I am torn between needing the pace and the quality, if we can find a player that has both, we will rule the world

He's a very good safety valve when Otter and Komps are playing in the middle. He totally redundant when Laporte and Stones are.

Mmmm, I wonder who signed him?
Probably right, but does he work in our system?

I’m not a fan and have maintained for a long time now that he is not s footballer, in the Pep sense of the word.

This reads like the early Raheem worries. I see no issue with him he had a dip, World Cup short pre season and is full of energy, which we need with Otter and Vinny. Both Zinch and Kyle have been awesome since the turn of the year.

That's how I see it. He has amazing pace but not a lot else. Maybe a powerful shot but we rarely see it.

Excellent at stopping counters, good physical presence defending set pieces, great engine to get up and down the wing.
The same profile as the other two full backs Guardiola signed.
Not the greatest footballer but doesn't necessarily need to be in the role he performs.

Nothing happened, it's the same as it ever was.
He did put a lovely ball across the six that if Sterling had still been on he would've gobbled up.

I like Walker. He's the best right back in the league so we can't complain too much.
Only issue with him is he seems to have a Dunnie moment and it didn't used to happen a lot but it's happening more and more where he'll just have a howler out of nowhere

Soon we might need someone else. He will be 29 in may. Home we learned from the last time we forgot to change the line of our fullbacks.

He was truly terrible in the offensive third again today. After spending SO much in Walker and Mendy very recently could it already be time to spend again to replace them?

If he was a light bulb he'd be a 40 watt, his pace is his saving grace.

And he wears his heart on his sleeve. And gets stuck the fuck in
More seriously, the alternative is..............?

Don't think there's one out there. He's still a top class right back but if his brain matched his physical attributes he'd be right up there.

At 2-2 when they caught us on a break he slipped in a way that reminded me of a FIFA bug.

He’s got the worst technique of any of our players, He’s strong and obviously fast which helps him. In a CL final I’d be worried about our defence. If Stones and Laporte are fit that’s something but the full back positions against top strikers? Hmm. Otter by the way has no pace.
