Immediately thought the same but then remembered he's playing alongside that lump of shit.

Was a howler of course but he didn't have many options around him like he would with us

Germans go 2-1 down late in the game to a better team. And Werner missed a sitter !

The estuarine tones of ex Etonian commentator Matterface revealed as he happily waded into Stones - another nasty piece of ITV work who was after the City contingent from the off.

Yes I see JS on the receiving end of the usual suspects with their snide childish remarks. I am sure he will move on swiftly.

Also see Bob has won again with Italy, he is doing well there. It's about 25 games unbeaten for him.

A lot of surprising results in this round of matches, with only 4 teams coming out of it with a 100% record: Italy, England, Denmark & Armenia...

According to the BBC, Stones got the assist for the winner (heading a corner to Maguire) - surely that makes up for his mistake leading to a Polish goal? (I didn't see the match though, I had to watch some paint drying).

Yes it was a bad mistake by Stones but it was a shit ball to him in the 1st place and nothing more certain than at City he'd have given it straight back to Ederson but Pope's kicking was a joke all night and i reckon Stones decided against playing it straight back to him where he'd be under pressure.

Dias and Eddie - Slabhead and Pope or Pickford. Bet he can't wait to come home.

This sums it up for ne. You could argue he should have just put his foot through it but equally, he is not used to playing that way. It was clear that he did not want to go back to Pope which is an issue. Lesson learnt, move on
