Because Sunderland have a fuclin better manager than we do. that is all.

Truth will out.

Sunderland had the element of surprise though - who in their right mind thought Sunderland would go out to attack a team that hadn't conceded at home all season? (if my failing memory serves me correctly). Preparation would have been done for a team probably employing a lone striker and sticking 8 or 9 players behind the ball in defence.

I wonder if Mancio set our team up the same.................

Craig Bellamy as a manager - I'd LOVE to see it, he'd probably last at the most three months before knocking a member of staff out (since none of the players would dare confront him) but what a glorious three months it would most likely be.

Can anyone tell me where the pic of Mancini morphing into Rafa was? (And how can I get him to turn into Uncle Joe?)

It's those four names again. Ade, SWP, Bridge and RSC. I fully expect them to be gone and replaced come January. (though we've already plenty of cover at LB to see us through the rest of the season)

The problem is finding mugs to buy them.

Hmm, mugs? Liverpool? AC Milan? And Lazio for RSC.

They are all skint!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

those are quality players. You will find they have a market value. We won't get nearly what we paid for any of them tho, but all of them combined could fashion two signings in January if we can offload all of them.

cheers

Money isn't an issue. If we can ship Bellers out to Cardiff and pay his wages, I'm sure we'll find a nice new home for that lot. We should lend Lesley £20m to buy RSC back off us.

Thing is, they are all on such ridiculous wages that we wouldn't even recoup the money we'd have to pay to them if we shipped them off and they hadn't asked for transfer ie we would have to pay remainder of their contracts.

Doomie they wont have a market value if no one has the money or wants to stump it up, especially in January. We'll have to let them out for bugger-all. Against that of course is this insane perception outside the club that these are brilliant players, like S Ireland and Dickie Dunne being our 'best players'!

I reckon it'll be "..on loan with a view to...."

SWP to Fulham (loan)
RSC to Lazio (loan)
Ade to Juventus (for free provided they let us have Dzeko)
Bridge to .....I dunno. River Kwai?

Well done Bobby, spot on today. Advancing Yaya and starting Barry and Zabba whilst generally taking the shackles off and putting the emphasis on attack.

Has the penny dropped yet? I hope so!!

The thing is, it's basically the same set up but with an emphasis on going forward. That's all most of us are asking for, not chucking on 4 forwards as Bob has suggested. Against Brum, DeJong & Yaya were often in our own half even in the last 10 mins or so. Today they were in the opponent's half ten minutes in, along with Barry, Silva Jo,Tevez & one or both fullbacks.

Thankyou Bob for restoring my faith that we do actually know how to attack. Great performance.
