I've always followed the club through it's ups and downs. Hope to make a trip down to a couple of games this season money permitting. I'd give my right arm to come to the Man City v Real Madrid game as it's so close to my birthday but I'm thinking it could be slightly impossible to get my hands on a ticket :( Hopefully I can make a game anyway. Come on City!!!

I thought being a Dundee fan you'd hate a team supported by Arabs. Welcome.

Isn't Dundee (as a town at least) really pro-Palestine? I'm pretty sure it's twinned with somewhere in the West Bank?

Haha. Alex I don't mind Arab's at all. A team that call themselves "the Arab's" and play in tangerine however, is a completely different story.
BlueinBosnia I have never heard of Dundee being twinned anywhere. Not quite sure why Dundee would be twinned anywhere (one is quite enough). lol. I think 90% of Dundonians probably don't even know what Palestine is. That seems really random to me but I'd be interested to find out more about that.

Dundee United FANS are known as Arabs (accordiung to my Arab friends).

Ah, just read it, and it makes sense now! Never heard that phrase for DUFC, though.
Dundee, according to Wikipedia, is twinned with:
Orléans, France (1946)
Zadar, Croatia (1959)
Würzburg, Germany (1962)
Alexandria, Virginia, United States (1974)
Nablus, Palestinian Authority (1980)
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
(although the last one may be a joke, but it is mentioned on Dubai's wiki page too...)

Yeah I just read about the twinned cities. Quite interesting to see the connection. I lived in Dundee for 20 years before moving to Edinburgh and I did not know about any of that. Bit worrying really. lol

what's the point of those "twin cities" supposed to be anyway? I've got absolutely no clue if my home town has any twin cities or not
