Probably, as with Jerome Goateng & Alexander Bolarov.

I've noted this lad is down as being 6ft 1, which is not very big for a Prem Lg cb, so I hope he's either got Micah type leaping ability or is very quick. Without one of those abilities in his armoury, he too may struggle.

vidic is only listed at 6'2". Maybe this kid is still growing a bit. i know at 43 i keep growing....horizontally, but that's a whole nother story.

25 games and 2 goals isn't bad for a 18 year old in his debut season... I'd have him over Savic and I have never seen him play.

I agree Vinny looks uncomfortable & I think it's because of the changes around him & not enough practice pre season with our proper defensive shape & line up in view of the fact that everyone is up for turning us over as Champions. We aren't naming anything like the same team twice. Defenders like a certain amount of continuity.

I think it will all settle when he gets a few games next to Lescott. I don't think the players are yet convinced by Bob's new formation but that would also be better imo if Lescott played in it, as he is our best defender & is no worse at passing the ball than VK or Kolo. They just think they are better & then give it away.

Right, I didn't realize the transfers rumor 'sticky' as I normally log on to this forum from my iphone via the App, in fact that's how i stumbled upon this forum in the first place when i found this app in itunes store and so i joined. Now in the App there is a separate sticky tab, which i only just saw now that you mentioned this, else i was just using the normal view which just lists top threads (minus the stickies) at the top.

Now not giving any excuses but since all i could see in threads was ones titled, Scott Sinclair on Tuesday (not done yet), Javi Garcia (again not done yet), TraNANI (another rumor based), Tom Smith (a nobody, and frankly a useless thread), AJ leaving, John Gudetti (again not gone anywhere yet) and so on ... so I assumed it was OK to post this here.

I don't know you, any of you, so didn't know what would tick whom off ... would have been nice instead of derailing the whole thread where people 'were' discussing Savic and if he left etc. and just DMed me, I'd have been careful next time ... sorry if I hurt your feelings!
