I think one of the main things putting people off signing him is that I'm probably closer to match fitness than him - so a loan spell in the Prem (where he can't play against us but can play against our rivals) would be a chance for him to get upto speed by the end of the season and prove to PSG or whoever that he is still capable of 60 mins or more of action per game so that hopefully they take more of an interest in the summer.

Milan have always done the deal at the last min, they are taking the piss, I honestly hope we hold out and never sell to the club he wants, PSG or Malaga would be great, or swap the twat for Benzema

All he's said there is "Stranger things have happened". He hasn't opened any door for a return. Probably just didn't want to be drawn on it.

I saw today a news in the "Corriere de la Sera" about a possible swap in this winter and summer between Inter and us. They said that Inter were interested in buying Tevez now and Kolarov in the summer, to replace Chivu.

I don''t buy it though.

I think it's great. City aren't taking any shit & if Tevez refuses to go where we want him to, rather than being spanked by that frog faced shitehawk at Milan, we are willing to make him fulfil his responsibilities. If he refuses, we add it to the huge list of crimes for which at some point of our choosing, he will have to pay , one way or another. If he comes back, we'll make him train like fuck through the rain & wind, & Bob will say he's not fit enough.

why all the negotiations ? we are letting milan take the piss, they have already said they can wait to the last day if need be.
we need to put a transfer fee on his head and only talk to clubs willing to pay it.
i feel mancini saying he will never play for him again has left us in an awkward position, it is crazy that he is playing golf in argentina
and we are paying himm £200k a week to do it. the club should order him back to training immediately, if he refuses we suspend his contract.

You can absolutely guarantee, we are not letting him get away with anything which doesn't suit our plans. At some point he will have to pay, either by negotiation or legal action.

If we were just going to cave in, we would have done so. We are sticking to a plan.

I'd love to see Malaga come in for him.

You forgot to address them with their full title...

As Adrian 'nobhead' Durham would say, 'Moneybags Malaga'

On a serious note, I'd really not give a shit if he stays for the rest of the season. FFP aside, he isn't causing the club any problems off the pitch, and certainly not affecting morale on it either. Let him rot and waste his career I say. It's only what he deserves.

The only problem is that it's starting to look like Marwood & Co won't release any funds without selling him 1st. Imo, the right signing or two now goes a long way to ensuring we win the league. Injuries & refs are the only thing that will stop us. If we have just a little more backup we are sorted.

Why we can't just do the business now, then sell a couple of fringe players in summer if neccessary to cover it is beyond me. I can only assume we intend to do a bit more 'moneybags' type stuff in the summer so the cash is already earmarked.

I agree that if we added one or two quality players this window that it would secure the title, problem is tho - who is available, realistically?!?!

I don't know, but DeRossi still hasn't signed anything yet. He may be waiting for a concrete offer from us before making a final decision on his future or even be waiting for us to confirm our offer so he can accept it.

it's amazing to me that after spending 250M that we're tight with the purse strings now, where spending 25M this month likely would have sealed the league in spite of injuries or refs or African Cup of Nations, etc

sad. seems very short sighted to me.

It could be the opposite though tbf. The various rumours we hear, like Kolarov leaving, us signing Lavezzi or Cavani or Eriksson or Hazard could actually be stuff they are working on as part of Bob's masterplan & budgeted for, so if we want to spend now, we have to generate the money elsewhere or pull out of some summer deals for young players we really want.
