I think now all is up to him and how much he wants to be here.

If he tells them: listen, I am not signing a new deal, I am leaving for free. Either sell me now and get something, or lose me for free next summer. I am not staying.

I hardly think Arse will send him train with the EDS the whole season.

Third bid needed for 70-5 million. Sanchez's people still confident. He can go for nothing to a foreign club in January.

I smell bull shit here. Think Arsenal never had any intention of signing anyone today. I still think we'll get Sanchez. Arsenal just trying to appease/pull the wool over the eyes of Arsenal fans again. Joke of a club

Yep. This will go on all the way to 11:00pm.
The great thing is I don't think too many City fans care either way.
It's great if we get him, if we don't , we'll do with what we have.

If Arsenal sell him at the death, their fans will explode.
If they keep him they'll be over the moon claiming all sorts of victories........

Until they have to deal with the fallout of a disgruntled player and no alternatives.

I reckon we will end up paying the £70m that Arsenal were rumoured to want a few days ago (and a figure that was quoted on this thread)
For me the whole thing seems very staged - lots of posturing, mainly from Arsenal, designed to blag their fans and from our perspective keep us on good terms with the Arsenal board. It's as though we are making improved offers to fit some sort of timeline that suits Arsenal's agenda with the endpoint being that we get Sanchez - otherwise why did it take us so long to increase our rejected offer of £50m to one of £55m plus £5m in add-ons?
He will be a City player by 11pm tonight

I'd just fuck Arsenal off and go buy Kolarov back.

Wait until about 8pm and if Arse haven't signed a replacement by then start dropping the offer by £5m every hour. Would love to drop them in the shit. £70m for a 28yo in the last year of his contract? They're havin a larff.

Whether he comes or not, watching John Cross try and make out all this is city's fault on twitter has been absolutely worth it. Arsenal, what a bloody club. Barrel of tits and a thumb comes to mind.

They may be after Rabiot from PSG. Or more cash. This deal still on.

More cash. The board have no intention of spending any money

Surely no Tarquin actually believes the reported bid for Lemar at £92m is a serious one? They offered £30m four or five weeks ago. As if the notoriously tight fisted Arsenal board would treble an offer like that!

All it does is make Arsenal and Wenger in particular look amateurish

I would hope they wouldn't believe it. This smells a lot like the denials issued before they sold Henry, Nasri, Fabregas, Adebayor and Van Persie. Typical Arsenal - bunch of liars

4.5hrs to go, don't see this happening now. Shame really, but on paper we really should have enough to challenge regardless of Sánchez.

I'm more upset about us not signing another left back.

It was my concern too n centre mid. We have huge holes whether we buy him or not. We are relying on luck with injuries now.

A couple of defeats after the International break and the fans there are gonna be raging. Most will realise they've been duped again and it will be great to watch
