I think he made uncomplimentary remarks about Sampaoli

I thought it was really harsh. Macherano had his arm around the Nigerian player without holding him. The Nigerian player took advantage of it by backing into him and then falling over.

really dumb for macherano to wrap his arms around him though. no reason to do that unless you're trying to hold someone

Yeah, it was unbelievably stupid, but the Nigerian lad milked that situation for all it was worth.

Could be a bit better around the box, but offered Nigeria some good hold up play and pestered the defenders pretty well. They can't keep the ball nearly as well with Igalo

I got plenty of generosity for Nacho. Liked everything about him besides the praise god goal celebrations

It's worrying that the VAR judges thought that was a penalty.. Its good to see the ref ignore their advice for once.

Would be hilarious if it stays 1-1 here and Iceland grabs another.

sampaoli should never manage another game after this. How do you look so aimless when your players are so much better - and you have Messi!

Jenas just said the Argie player had been booked twice, then quickly swept it under the rug as if he'd never said it

How bad must it be when the commentators can't even get it right.
