Do not fear. Agent Moyes is safe until Xmas - plenty of time to complete the next phase of his work - blowing the summer budget on overpriced nonentities and past-it hasbeens ; getting Rooneys contract signed was a fine piece of work , and excellent preparation for this - now they will be forced to overpay for anyone they bring in.

Remember also, this : our friends the Glazer family are not United fans , nor are they football fans. They are investors. They don't give a flying one about results on the field - as long as they can continue to bleed the club, they will see no reason the change anything. If they're 7th/8th in the EPL and playing Europa league - they couldn't give two as long as the moneys coming in ; it's all part of their plan.

He is definitely my favourite rag manager of all time. The skill at which he has turned a title winning side into utter shit is nothing short of remarkable.

I honestly don't think he gets enough credit for it.

I guess they'll be buying some new spaces in the summer, then.

3! What did he do to deserve 3? I'd have said 2 at most.

His shopping list is getting huge:
2 centrehalves.
1 leftback.
2 central midfielders.
1 right/left winger depending on where he wants to play Mata out of position.
1 striker who isn't made of glass.

If rumors of them having 200 million pounds to spend this summer are true, please let it be Moyes who spends it.
That could be dangerous in the hands of a half a decent manager.

I can fill in the list.

Shawcross, Hangeland, Baines, Osman, Noble, Pienaar(because a 3rd no.10 is handy to cover both wings), then spend all summer pretending to close in on Falcao, only to sign Naismith August 31st.

The weird thing is that most of those are actually an upgrade on what they currently have!

Dont forget - their beloved FFP dictates that you can only spend money earned in that year. You cant suddenly lump in old funds or central Glazer money.

Ffp will keep them alive. The saving factor could be that historically we know the Glazers don't like to spend. Are they likely to start now? I'm not sure. And Moyesie has already pissed seventy odd million away on not solving their problems.
I think our game there could be the final straw if we give them a good hiding. Losing a derby at home heavily is often a deal breaker.

More of the same - rag tops throwing headlines out there and then turning it arround - they'll blame fans for trying to out Moyes and maintain that he would have been great...
