4 perfect pens! im surprised.

first half; aj amazing, boyata very well.

second half, total shite. jo decent at setting up ade, gash at finishing.

time for bed.

HAHA at that yanks surprise at veira: ''oh my god the guy is just walking. I could play for man city if i dont have to get back and defend and just walk around.'' On bluemoon everyones slagging him off, i was his biggest hater last season and FUCK knows why we intend to waste a place on him in the 25, but i thought he was decent. Hes probably our most CREATIVE centre mid (in terms of defence splitting balls) which is worrying! we still can't buy a fucking proper goal. Playing ireland left wing doesnt help his cause!

wheres nimely.

The only decent, intelligent ball of any kind to come from wide was a little pullback from Cunningham near the end. We are one of the worst, shiitiest teams in wide positions I've ever seen at the top level. I can cross a ball better. We must have had 30 opportunities to get a ball in & couldn't get one single pass right. Utter utter shite. Hopefully the new signings can solve it because we were worse than everyone else at it last season too. Bridge actually took 3 touches to line 1 up then whacked it behind Ade's head so he had to bend back. Arse.

It's a pity Jo can't hit a bull's arse with a banjo because he's creating more clever football then Ireland in every game. One of the only players to offer any kind of intelligent link up with Adebayor. He has talent but just can't seem to keep it going in a game.

Btw, Yaya Toure is better on the ball than most of our so called 'creative' midfielders imo & will be a real asset.

The tactical/fitness shambles is to be expected but some of those players are fucking dire individually & want dumping if they don't sort it fast, ie Saturday onwards.

Won it on penalties, good, Ade with a touch of class hit the bar on 89 minutes and Jo should have won it on 90. But City were opened up too easily by the Mexicans' quick counter attacks and they were saved by the post twice. City moved the ball around nicely enough, best passing of the tour, and tried some pretty one-twos on the edge of the box but none of them came off. What they lacked was the real direct threat of someone running at defenders and shooting hard. His name is Carlos Tevez. Hope he's fit for the season and stays that way.

Excellent stuff from Shay. Keeper race will go to the wire I feel and I reckon Hart may end up dissappointed.

Over the 90 I thought Boyata was excellent.

Ade, a couple of great moments but on the whole lazy

Ireland and Zabs looked bright second half. Vieria is so pedestrian and surprisingly Lescott lacked mobility and was caught out for the goal. Worrying.

Weiss didnt impress at all.

Still, at least we won and its slowly getting better.

This. fuck knows why im staying up writing on here.

Every year, under every manager we say and can see that individually have some shit players. But how is a former england left back in wayne bridge so bad at crossing a ball in? Its a joke. Zabaleta and Vieira delivery was decent. Obviously AJ can cross. Weiss didnt impress yet again.

I wonder if he actually scores a big goal if the confidence will kick in. He really has shown some wonderful pass touches.

Lescott looks at least a yard slower than last season. If he doesn't get that yard back he's finished.

Gibson's just cracked a 25 yd free kick in for the rags. We don't have anyone on that tour that could do the same out of 20 odd players. Thank Christ for Kolarov & Balotelli.

I doubt it but at least he's trying so he deserves a shout. He's the only creative player bar Johnson that's played with any purpose so far. The others are just passing the ball stupidly into the oppo's defenders but he's been clever. Mancini will have seen him play brilliantly v Inter so may be trying to give him as much chance as possible but he doesn't seem to have the right mentality to produce it often enough. It's a pity.

My 2cents after watching the game LIVE at the Georgia Dome... Well, where do i start; firstly, I flew down from Philadelphia to Georgia for a brief 2 weeks vacation and decided to attend both the Open practice session yesterday and the Game today. So this was my first face-to-face encounter with My City. Anyway, enough of that.

Weiss- Oh this kid, i was a HUGE fan of this lad, i mean his biggest fan, but that seems to have faded away during the world cup and especially after seeing him in action twice this week. first of all, this kid is very arrogant(sadly, i hate to say it) with nothing to show for. He gets mad when calls goes against him, when his team mates don't pass him the ball etc... He needs to be more grounded and humble if he wants to succeed. From his behavior during the game today, he thinks he's a super star already. And even during the world cup, he was always yelling/shouting at his teammates for making bad plays, when at his level, he should be encouraging instead. secondly, his work ethics is terrible. He easily gives away the ball and and fails to track back, he is easily push off the ball - needs to build more strength in those legs; his crosses have no directions - terrible crosser. Yes, he has amazing dribbling skills but that is where it ends. So many times he dribbles one or two men and runs out of ideas. The gists of the matter is he needs a lots of playing time somewhere in the Championship or with a team in the bottom half of the EPL to develop. The raw talent is there.

Jo - well what can i say. after seeing what he does on and off the ball, i think that he is one of our most technically gifted players. I'm sure Mancini recognizes this. I wouldn't be surprises if he were to make the 25 men team. I think he's ready. During the game tonight, i was really impressed with his simple but brilliant touches and runs. He reads the game well and releases the ball when necessary. he has very good ball controlling skills. YES - i know he miss-kicked the ball tonight when he should have easily scored, but trust me, give this Kid enough playing time and we have ourself a FINE player. Very good play maker.

ADE - needs the ball at the right time and place. We need OUR Cesc, or let say a creative midfielder that can get him the ball in the 18. Hopefully Silva and Yaya can do that. I know the OLD Ireland could have done the job.

Yaya - what impresses me the most about him is his ability to spread the ball; in him, we've got quality forward passes. Can't wait to see Tevez on the receiving end.

BOyata - this kid is quality. he needs to get over his shyness and play football. more experience needed.

Bridge - He's either rusty, or is loosing his touches.

bleedBlue - completely agree with your assessment of Weiss. Because he's got 'academy' stamped on him many have the blinkered view that he's the saviour of the club, like Stephen Eliot, Ched Evans, Stephen Jordan, Tyrone Mears, Dickson Etuhu and many others before him.

Nearly 21 but apparently 'will develop' if given 83 loan moves.

Maybe when he's 40 or so?

didn't manage to finish the game (only watch until early 2nd half) but i have to say yaya looks comfortable with his new environment and i expect him to step up immediately this season. regarding weiss he needs to go out on loan still too raw of a talent hopefully regular football will help him develop his game cause at the moment he ain't good enough to where we want to go.
