I can't understand how his head is being turned or indeed if it has been. He doesn't like Real, he thinks of Pelle as his footballing father and half our fucking team speaks Spanish.

Get on the fucking plane you arse clown.

That's nearly as good a sell as Zidane pointing out there was a train to Malaga.

Ha! In a nutshell!

There's a little bit more to it. Not only signing for a club whose president isn't keen, but also for a manager who won't guarantee him game time as he'll want to keep his job rather than look after a player he didn't sign. If Isco went to Franco's Fascists on the basis of Zidane's promises, he'd get everything he deserves.

Was thinking this myself, Real have their pocket paper in action, we need ours.

Cheshire you are letting us down!

Our equivalent of Marca, the MuEN, have an article today saying we've lost him and are looking at other targets.

I wonder if Marca are going to choose who we will sign from now on!

I am hoping that all this isn't a prelude to Di Maria being on the shop floor(probably dived there) and we're the ones looking to pick him up.

There were reports Pelligrini was a fan of Di Maria. Wouldnt imagine he'd be to happy to see Isco slip out though.

check the link out above, this is what the slimy bastards in madrid do all the time........ about time someone put thos wankers in their place, come on city time to grow a pair

and below is from another tabloid

Spanish playmaker Isco will speak with new Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini today to decide on his future.

The 21-year-old has reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid, rather than team up with his Malaga mentor at the Etihad Stadium.

A fee of £22 million has been agreed but the decision is now resting with the player, with City still hoping they can turn his head at the eleventh hour.

And SportsDirect News can reveal Isco has been less than complimentary about Madrid in the past.

Speaking back in 2009, Isco said: "I would say I am a bit of a anti-Madridsta. One never knows where your future lies, but it's a team I have never liked.

"I get the impression that Real Madrid are an arrogant club, likewise the players and you don't get anywhere without humility."

According to the back page of the Evg News, they recon Madrid stepped up their efforts after watching Isco in the U21s.

This is what I thought may have happened.

I recon the slimeball factor in this is very very high indeed. We hear of 'agreements' between City & Real. City don't bid for Cavani. City have a deal accepted by Malaga & Isco & thus believe Isco is signing for us after the U21 tournament . No problem.

Cavani does a decent impression of Bernardo Corradi in the Confed Cup.

Real Madrid, tear up said 'agreement' offer Malaga more money. Malaga piss on agreement with City & accept Madrid offer.

Madrid brief their media that Isco has signed, in order to pressurise him into doing exactly that.

Ferguson was 100% right.

People who said we were close last night, are still so far saying the same this morning though. Make of that what you will.

Offer even more money. Pretty simple, right?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Above seems to fit in with most reports.
I hope we stand up to RM now though. If Pelligrini has a chat and Sheikh Mansour decides to make a few calls we might flex some muscle to swing it back to us? IMO it is important to show we will not be bullied by RM.

I don't know whether Real even ARE in for him! I've seen these sort of news before and we've ended up signing the player anyway and I've seen them and we've missed on the player. I've learned not to trust press much either way.

I'm just going by the scenario presented in that article where they are claiming Real offered more dough.

What I do know though is that if we miss our number one target in the summer AGAIN, we are going to struggle to mount serious title challenge again.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

the problem is Ted the two guys we brought in to do our business need this purchase in the past we have simply not got the players we wanted in close season i.e last summer. If we did get this player we would pretty much get back a tidy sum if we won any competition or had a good run in the chumps league.
Also letting clubs gazzump us in the buying of players sends out a bad message to anyone we approach, for too many years big clubs have just steamrollered anyone that is in with a shout of a decent player. Also if pelle really does want this lad as his first buy dont you think we should pull out all the stops,
