Nooly, you'll carve it up mate. They are all really slow, have very little skill and are too busy trying to con the ref than play properly. It doesn't say much for the opposition either.

I asked my mate Danny to play and he said he isn't sure, he doesn't like being subbed all the time.

When we have 8, we are subbing every 5 mins, an he would rather play a full game, which he also gets offered on a Monday night.

He's gonna let me know Friday morning. If he bails, I'll try an get another mate.

Yo Bob,

My mate said he'll only play if there is 7 or less of us.

He says with 8, you get subbed every 5 mins, which is true.

He's not bein a dick about it, he just wants to play more which is fair enough. I hate goin off too!!

So what numbers have we got?

EDIT

MY OTHER MATE CHRIS WILL PLAY DEFO. WHAT TIME IS KICK OFF?

I must admit I'm not used to going off so much, so i can see his point.

We should at least adopt a five or ten minute rolling sub thing so no one ends up feeling short-changed. Often the ref is willing to advise you when ten minutes are up throughout a game, whcih can help.

It would also hopefully mean that people don't stay on too long when they're knackered, which doesn't help the team. We're all guilty of it, and whislt there's no shame in wanting to stay on, we need to be a bit more ruthless. In all aspects of our game really.

I reckon it's a bit of a problem at the mo, all the changes, cos when someone comes on, it's not necessarily a given as to which position the oncoming player is going to slot into. I think that's why we made the last game so tight, scorewise - it took a goal or two from them for us to sort ourselves out once we'd changed players, and settled in again, before pummelling them some more and obviously emerging victorious.

Even summat as simple as the lads coming off telling the new lads where to go. Might sound like stating the bleeding obvious, but when we don't do it, it's costly.

yeah i can see where your coming from but if your knackered and your passing and shooting has gone to shit, no point you staying on. Have a rest then come back on in 5 or 10 mins, i dont like playing when im knackered so im usually begging the ref for a sub. If i was alot fitter then id want to stay on. But no point me letting the team down just because i want to try and get a shot at goal.

I agree ive come on for mark and bob wanted me to sit and defend and then no one is sure who is playing up top as thats where mark was playing.

We should all have our positions before the game and if ashton comes off for mark then ashton plays up top. if i come on for rog then i will sit in the middle or sit back etc etc.

or should we do something else?

The thing with the subs is that as far as people who are good at being the last man we only have...

Roger
Chris
Ashton

Everyone else is attack minded.

So if we work it on that basis, that at any one time at least one of those 3 are on the pitch. I think it's fair to say that the rest of us are interchangeable.

Does everyone agree with this?

i agree , sometimes i feel like last week we run around like headless chickens. When bob gets the ball if he can slow the pace down for us by keeping the ball for 10 seconds while we all get back into position. I think this will help as when we slow it down and "look up" we can actually get some great football going. When we look up and pass and move we do look a tasty team, but doing that at 100 mph is hard work.

Good points all round.

We should definitely utilise the time Bob has with the ball and calm things down a tad. And we definitely need at least one on, who defends as a role. Must admit I do like to have a dabble up front as well. Can't believe Jerome missed that goal I bagged last game with his phone cam! Sorry to get all ego but I'd rather not just be kept to only a defensive role, though I do enjoy it.

And yeah, we really do need to sort out some simple instructions, so we slot in all slick like - let's see what everyone has to say, I await with interest.
