We won. It was a good performance. What else can people moan about? ;o)

Seriously, Mario looks like he's gonna take us on a roller coaster ride all of his own. I can understand why some Inter fans said they didn't know whether to love or hate him. Personally, I think he'll become a legend.

He better cut that diving shit out of his game though. That's just embarrasing.

EDIT: I wouldn't play him in the derby though. 10 men against the rags for 89 minutes? No ta.
Has the world gone mad, ..............or is it me?

I don't think everybody is slagging him off.
None of us like the diving bit mind.
Incidentally, was it deffo a dive when he got booked? The only angle I've seen it from doesn't really show very much.
He was mighty upset about it.
City and sniffing knickers.

Red card has been accepted by the club so he is out of the derby.

Club are going to appeal the three games though.

From the OS

Manchester City can confirm that we have today submitted an appeal following the dismissal of Mario Balotelli for violent conduct during Sunday's 2-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion.

The claim will be heard by an FA independent regulatory commission tomorrow, Tuesday November 9.

With the hearing tomorrow, I reckon the red will be upheld and he will be banned.

If the appeal is being heard tmrw he's out for the derby regardless... (unless the red card is rescinded entirely).

If they wanted him for Wed, surely the club should have appealed the red card tmrw with the hope that the FA would schedule the hearing for Thursday (a la Wio last year).

From the MuEN:

Mario Balotelli will miss the Manchester derby after accepting his red card against West Brom but Manchester City have lodged an appeal against the automatic three-match ban.

The Italian striker was given a straight red card for violent conduct after clashing with Youssouf Mulumbu.

City are now appealing against the three-match ban but accept the red card - he had already been booked - meaning he will miss the chance of facing Manchester United.

The FA said in a statement: "The FA can confirm that Manchester City FC have today submitted a claim that, following the dismissal of Mario Balotelli for violent conduct, the standard punishment of an automatic three match ban is clearly excessive.

"The claim will be heard by an independent regulatory commission tomorrow."

Ok so here's the score...Mario will DEFINITELY miss the derby

City have appealed that the straight red should have been another yellow therefore it being a one match ban rather than a three match ban...so he will miss Wednesday regardless.

Can't really decide whether it is a good thing. I still think he would be a powder keg in the derby atmosphere and so, on balance, perhaps it's no bad thing. Pity, he has talent, as we all saw on Sunday. That he is relatively unknown by many players in this league should play nicely for him this season.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

So if we win the appeal he will be ok to face Brum at the weekend?
