Torres said he'd never even consider playing for another English club.

Ah right. So how could he go to Chelsea?

I wonder how all this shit is going to affect the Chelsea squad with all these bids going in, surely some of them will be worrying about their future now?

Thanks for teaching me to spell.......again ;-)

I had to look up Dalglish, I was sure there was an 'e' in there but nothing looked right.

Really torn on this one... we've been after Torres for some time according to the media and I've wanted to see him in skyblue for some time.

But now we got Dzeko (who I think is a better long-term prospect) and Torres is a risk because of injury and is not that young + will he be as good when he does not have pace?

After thinking about this for the last few days I think I am 50/50... Fine if we get him and also fine if he goes to Chelsea. He is fourth on my list over who I want to come in actually... behind Lukaku, Aguero and Luiz.

But then again would be really bad if he goes to Chelsea and really hits it off and avoids the medical room. I guess that in the end we cannot buy up all players just to keep them from the op. and with the future in mind I'd much rather have Torres at Chelsea and Aguero here than the other way around!

Why Che£$€a?

Because Chelsea have a long standing history of being one of the world's greatest clubs, which is why no one has criticised them for a British record bid.

Plus Torres used to support Chelsea as a kid - he had a rent boy armband and everything.

Clearest sign that we are not after Torres is for me the fact that Ade went to Real Madrid. It was known when that happened that Liverpool bid for him before the loan deal was accepted, if we had been in for Torres we could have used Ade as makeweight and made a possible deal alot easier for ourselves. But we did not so to me that means that we are not interested in him at the moment.

I don't see it like that mate, I think Ade was a totally seperate issue. I couldn't see Liverpool paying his wages and their was only 1 destination for him; Madrid or bust.

i don't like Chelsea being strengthened, but honestly we can't buy every player on the market.

I think we'll find that in 3 years the money spent on Dzeko will have been better spent than anything we would have gotten out of Torres in the next few years.

Would have been a cream dream to see him fit and up front tho with our attacking side just for the pornographic aspects of it...all that sticking it in the net could have been sexay as fucl.

cheers

Fair game:-) Still if I was Marwood/Cook and I wanted a player from some team I sure would use a player they wanted to try to make it happen:-) Sure Ade would take less wages too to make a permanent deal to Liverpool happen.

Then again I have no idea how things really work :P
