If he is shite or inured, he won't play and we pay nothing.
If he does a good job, he'll help the club as a whole and we still pay nothing.

He adds experience to our squad which could be utilised in any way. I don't think he came here expecting to play every game.
He could be the perfect person to come off the bench to settle things down in a league cup match.
