Spot fucking on! This is what i see game in and game out, pass completion my ass.
The only point passing him the ball is to drag out the time.

For me VK is the best CB in the world, compare those two is like a Ferrari vs Vauxhall.

Can you or El Cunto give me a few examples of Vinny's fantastic ball distribution ?

Somewhere amongst my enjoyment of watching City's brilliant pass & move football over the past year or so, my memory has omitted the Beckenbaur like skills exhibited by Vinny compared to JL's basic short passing game & all I've seen is two great defenders who pass the ball to the fullbacks, the midfield, each other & Joe Hart, who look fairly shite when they try to be clever.

I'm clearly missing out on some quality stuff produced by one of them because I can't see a fucking difference.

I think this whole discussion is useless ... whether we play 3 at the back or 4, or hell even if we play 5, they are going to get through and they are going to score ... question should be, can we score as many or more at the other end? So I am more concerned with how our front line will look like and can we finish? I think the best strategy here would be to attack and stay on offensive, score a goal or two early and that'll rattle them ... sitting back and having whatever no of defenders and then a line of midfielders covering them just won't work there ... I'd really rather those midfielders be moving forward and feeding the strikers instead of sitting back and worrying about providing cover.

There is no comparison with vinny and Lescott.......the only clip I could find on You tube with anything related to Lescott was Ripleys ALIEN.

Th truth is, as a unit, VK and JL are the best partnership in the League - they both play their best games when paired together. We are very lucky to have them.

In any case. who would you swap JL for? - Certainly not Agger! ( and Puyol doesn't count either!)

Mancini would be a damn fool to throw Nasti and Maicon in.

Yes Lescott and Vincent have been a bit shaky to say the least but you cant go ripping up a proven plan.

Agree. Real themselves have had a very shakey start. They have 4 points from a possible 12 and have scored 4 leass goals than us. They are 14th in La Liga, have a "sad" star and a manager questioning their attitude.
We have "absolutely nothing to fear". You can quote me :)

Because he plays for his country means he's ready to play in our biggest champions league game ever without ever kicking a ball for us and it's also an away game, your arguments ridiculous

Lol, Carl is like the Hulk when it comes to Lescott, there's NO reasoning whatsoever.

On a serious note does anyone remember watching our defense last season, when Kolarov and Zabba played we were no where near as solid as when Clichy and Micah played. I think these two are a massive miss at the moment.

Correct with all 3 but Zabba had some strong performances especially toward the end. I'm a bit wary about sticking Barry in at this stage. I actually think Rodwell has a chance of playing in this game but I also think/fear that Kolarov has a big chance of playing.

If you take away the fluke/handball goal, Stoke caused us less problems in this game than they ever have. The biggest threat was from Joe Hart. That's the first game Clichy has played, & it's the first time the defence has looked anything like it.

Last season, we were poor defensively in every game I can remember Kolarov playing & that has continued. Kolarov is our only real direct free kick taker though.

Toure, Tevez, Balo, Milner, Nasri all can take free kicks.

Exactly. What some forget is that Lescott is also an international player and at present one of the main ones in his position for his country!
