I would have liked to have seen more of Sinclair. Yes he's no Messi but at least give him a chance as he has genuine pace. We kept giving him 5 minutes every 5 games or so and expecting him to deliver.

A few may have had a bad season, so have a few of ours but it doesn't mean that I don't want them in our squad. Valencia and Nani have been excellent for the majority of their time at United and without the Blue Tints, I'm sure that many Blues would have them at ours.

I notice you don't have any objections with the rest so to be fair, nearly half of their outfield players would get in our squad. Similarly, I'd suggest half of ours would get in theirs, but it's all hypothetical.

Valencia is one of my favorite players. Rag or not. Fantastic winger at his best, direct, pacey and a great crosser. Would love him in our squad.
Nani blows too hot and cold. Not consistent enough.
RVP and Rooney would get in our team. Maybe even De Gea this season would. Wouldn't have Carrick nor Young nor Smalling.

So, we agree that many of the Rags would get into our team without a thought. The rest, Carrick et al, were classed as squad players so it turns out that as a squad they aren't too bad, all things considering.

The difference is, they have options, we don't.

But we haven't utilised our options. IE Sinclair.
But as Doug said it feels like Mancini this season has been focusing more on what we don't have than what we do. We still have quality players. And our players have underperformed. Injuries or not, they've underperformed.

Yep, we have underperformed, there's no doubt about that.

Yawn Bridges. Yawn.

Name and shame the teams that are better than the rags, globally. THen we can talk.

Just did. Yawn. Barca, Madrid, Us, Dortmund, Real Now you answer which Rags would get in our side?

I'm still not going to answer your question. Ha!

If Barca, Real, Dortmund and I would also add Bayern, are the only teams that are better than UNited, I would say say that they are pretty damn good. If there are only FOUR teams in the world that are better than the rags, I wouldn't say it's that bad to be beaten by the rags in a league race. Be it 12 or 13 points or by 4 points. Also, one of those teams you mentioned are trailing their league leaders by 12 points and are on par with their city rivals and that in a league that's a lot less competetive than the PL. So I donät know on what merits you'r comparing teams. Arbitrary to say the least.

I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

They destroyed United. Far better team.
No you're right, this is by far the greatest United side I've seen who play wonderful free flowing football. The 99 team has nothing on this. I mean how could I expect us to beat a side with the great players such as Phil Jones and Danny Welbeck in? Kompany and Aguero have nothing on them two.
I'm grateful to just be 16 points behind. What an achievement!

I have not said that. You've just made that up.

Unlike this quote which is 100 % real:

And you actually wrote this in another thread, about the same time as you questioned whether United are any good or not. Unlike you I count ability to convert chances into goal as a quality that separates winners from runners up. Not just something a football team does while being mainly crap or sub-standard.

Bridge'srightfoot wrote:That's the key point really and explains why they so often play shite and win. They're clinical.
When they get chances they take them. Against Madrid they were under the cosh for the first half hour or so, get 1 chance, score it and get a valuable away goal. Against Spurs they had one chance in the whole game and took it and very nearly won. Against us at Etihad they had two real chances and took them both ( don't count VP's as a chance)

You always get the feeling when watching a Rags game that if the score is level or they're beind, they're going to score and more often than not they do.
