I expected a lot more from you, frankly

And you've had a double easy ride to Wembley too.

That is all.

We beat the holders and beat Stoke away. Most teams in the country would lose both of those games.

We had to beat Stoke away, something we had never done under Mancini, and Chelsea in the semi final - I wouldn't count that as a double easy ride. I have to agree with you when you say you expected a lot more from us though, I did too. Our league form has been disappointing and our Champions League campaign was woeful, however, I can't help but feel that had we beaten Real Madrid at the Bernabeu (something which only 10 mins of madness at the end prevented us from doing) that our season would have taken a much different turn. Such a massive result would have instilled a huge amount of confidence and self-belief amongst the players and staff at the club and who knows where we could have gone from there?

Whilst I am disappointed that we did not make a stronger defence of our title, as we should have done with the players at our disposal, it is tempered by the chance of adding another trophy in May. Injuries to key players have severly hampered our season and we have lost more players to injury this season compared to last, which can't be ignored and is something the club need to look at. An FA Cup victory and 2nd place in the league would not be so bad and with a couple of astute signings this summer we should be in a position to take the title back off the rags. Three trophies in three years would be ok and as winning becomes a habit I could live with this.

or maybe when some players didn't hit much form, some players showed they were not good enough, the manager seemed to have his focus more on what we didn't have than those we did,as a whole team (players, management and maybe fans) there was complacency ,at times poor selection and poor tactics, opposition teams got their game right against us more often................. Nah it was all down to not getting the trfrs right in the summer

Why we needed hazard and RVP to get a goal against qpr, Southampton, reading etc I'm not sure.

This lot were capable last year.

To be fair, I think you've done well. It could've and should've been better but overall, it's been a productive season. BFS has done well.

Was he your choice a couple of years back?

Thank you....we've been a piss stain in nearly every competition we've been in this season with high expectations and average results.

Coming second in the league, THIS season where nearly no one has been worth a shit is dubious at best. And we'll be 15- 20 pts off the pace or something.

Beating Wigan to win a pot is fine, but it's been a fucking cakewalk as Walmai said. We had to beat Chelsea. Whoopdy doo. And we've not convinced me that we will beat Wigan. I can see them coming at us and us tinkering around like arrogant princesses and losing it and then acting like we were glad we got there like a bunch of fucking average joe fucktards.

sorry...i needed to have a rant i guess.

cheers

It would but it shouldn't excuse the fuck ups.

An honest break down for me would look like this.

League cup - disaster, beaten at home by the worst villa side of my lifetime who travel like shit.

FA cup - done well, but up until the semi we had the cushiest run I remember us getting. If we win it's still a major trophy and I'm very grateful.

CL - disaster again. The group hurt again, but to finish bottom and not even register a win with our squad is shit. Ajax and Dortmund don't have squads like us and both outplayed, out thought and out fought us. Shocking attempt.

League - 2nd beats relegation. It beats championship, league 1, 2 or wherever Pompey are heading next. For some that's enough to be happy, for me we've not been in with a shot for a few months and far too often that's been down to lack of fight or our management not reacting quick enough to problems during a game. Very disappointing for me. There's 5 games left and the trophy is gone, literally.

I will be happy enough if we win the cup. Yes the league was disappointing but overall the graph is up. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Normally enjoy your posts Walmai and you are spot on about the fucl ups, but the easy ride to Wembley included wins at Stoke and beating Chelsea at Wembley - in case you hadnt noticed, Chelsea have a pretty decent record at that place. Granted the draws been kind in places, but those 2 ties alone would have accounted for about 98% of the Prem.

For the most part Walmai , you are right, but City fans also expected other teams to turn up to orher games like they do for City.

We play great football.

Limp wrists like Everton go bonkers if they beat City, like it's an F A Cup final. Sunderland battle for everything against City and drop their pants for united .

West Ham ? give up the ghost at OT when the game was theirs for the taking.

Being second to a truly average United hurts, but perhaps this gives us the excuse to batter every team next season

Especially the Rags

Ok a Final is that failure pics, I am pissed we have lost the league. Shit happens, Fine margins this top end, His management style may be his downfall also the Group we were in has produced 2 semi finalists, I do not see any Premier team getting out of that .
Has Mancini realy failed 3 yrs maybe 3 trophies? I do not think we have long to wait.
