The argument is that Pantilimon would've left his line to catch the cross, not the header. Conjecture, I know, but not entirely unreasonable.

Blaming Hart for any goal at Villa is harsh tho, the third included. After the Community Shield fuck up I was sure Kompany would never ever let the ball bounce in a similar situation again. Disappointing.

But the header was from the near corner of the six yard box, no keeper is coming out there.

Was it the FA Cup semi against Chelsea where Panty came out flapping, got nowhere near the ball and it took one of Vinny/Nasty ( can't remember which ) to head off the line?

That header by wigan in the final would have been saved by pants.

Because he's taller, not because he's a better keeper. Hart did nothing wrong for that goal. It's much more useful to look at the mistakes he has made and what he could have done differently and whether he's showing any inclination to improve.

I thought he looked much better against the rags and was something like his best. Against Villa, there were some pretty basic mistakes again.

Hopefully the new goalkeeping coach will improve him, as I think the previous one caused some of the issues. If not Eric Steele is available again and would have trained Hart when he first came and did a pretty good job with de Gea.

I think he ended up with a muddled punch on that one that fell to Hazard. Kompany got in the way of the shot.

Panti might not be as good but he isn't too far behind and unlike hart he will put in 110% and the extra effort/giving a shit will make up for the talent gap and give us a better keeper.

Then maybe that arrogant prick who would rather make a show reel save than do the basic shit right will stop being such an utter cunt and sort his shit out.

Has he "done" enough for a spell on the bench yet??

fuck he is wank....not wholly to blame for anything but "City's number one..." well, I am really unconvinced.

I am not sure I would drop him just yet, but I would fine him £5000 every time he kicks the ball past the half way line. Tonight all he has done is give the ball back to Bayern who are then great at keeping it

Let's take away those mistakes for the goals as hard as it is.

How many times did he just hoof the ball back up the field straight into their midfield for them to sting about 20 passes together.

You cannot give good teams the ball back that easily. He will find that out in the CL and for England who we kinda looked like tonight when they come up against a side who can hold on the ball.

After watching Fraser Foster in the CL it would be a disgrace if Hart is picked ahead of him. We should have signed a number two that was going to worry him and come in when his confidence is shot.

so are we seriously saying that without hart we draw 1-1????

outplayed, in every department, first time in a while that i've thought "yeah, well played the opposition".

You're right mate but we made it easy. Joe should've done better but we do well when the team looks confident.

Were we tonight?

Actually there wasn't much Joe could do about that goal. He got down in time, got his hand to it, but it was too strong a shot.

Now , why doesn't anyone bitch about why Ribery wasn't closed down quicker to prevent a great shot at goal ??

In fact why doesn't anyone complain about us being way too slow in midfield?

Why doesn't Ferdi play for Brazil ?

I complained about it twice. The closing down that is. If you weren't so grumpy we could start a club.
