though I liked the beast, I do think he was in for a ruff patch trying to get back to the form he was in during the first spell of scoring goals for fun. But this would be the type of move a barca, madrid would make considering he is injured. And what a deal this would be WOW. Falcao and Aguero. FuckingFantasticPosition to be in.

good observation. report in the guardian says that he was speaking with monaco officials about the deal in principal at the champions league group phase draw.

would be a real coup for us if you ask me.

we like to play two strikers and aguero/jovetic are similar while dzeko and negredo are as well. but falcao is certainly an upgrade over the beast.

Falcao is an upgrade over just about every striker in the world.

Slight back track. Negrado deal is a loan with a forced £25m fee in 12 months. All parties happy but Balague has just said this depends on Falcao joining City. We want him, Falcao is keen to join us and Monaco are happy too. But, if Fslcao does not join for whatever reason then the Beast deal may fall through. It's looking good but not done at all as yet.

with regards to the alleged agreed loan deal. how much of the future fee count now towards our allowable transfer outlay? i would think it would not, but what do i know?

if not how would we come up with the funds?

surely even selling nasti, richards and sinclair plus our remaining tansfer balance (£24) won't cover the £55 rumoured to be the cost.

perhaps it would be a loan with option to buy.

i think i am reading that we are checking to see if that works under ffp.

Assume that £25M will travel directly to Monaco in 12 months time.

More reports coming out of Italy claim Manchester United have submitted and undisclosed bid for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao. Manchester City have also been linked with a move for Colombian hit-man.

That's on sky sports transfer news

A loan does not 'feel' like it would count as a FFP outlay as you say. However, there is a forced £25m fee involved. Apparently we are checking with the powers that be that this can count for FFP as the fee is forced next year. Our net spend do far is approx £26 m so we have £23m to spend, Falcao fee is c €40m so a sale of Nasti, Micah etc would go a long way to covering it

I'd be astonished if Falcao chose the rags over us and I don't see how he would fit in with RVP and Rooney. Unless Real decide to go for him having got Chicharito which seems very unlikely I think he's ours subject to a medical unless an FFP red flag is raised by UEFA. Interesting that Sky ignored this possibility until the rags were mentioned. I have no doubt this is Jorge Mendez trying to get every penny out of us before the deal is done. We could yet walk away if he plays around too much and Monaco clearly want shot so I don't think he will.

"“That’s the situation that is being negotiated at the moment. Everybody at the moment is still saying it is very unlikely, but Negredo is pushing to go Valencia.”

But a source at Manchester City has told Sky Sports News HQ they are not in negotiations with Falcao adding the former Atletico striker will not be going to City in this transfer window."

City don't speak to Sky about our transfer dealings.
