If you think Willy is bad then think again....
Lets be realistic, this is a 2 game campaign we have left in the CL so there wont be any q-f barring an absolute miracle of several critical Barcelona injuries - say Messi, Suarez, Piquet, Iniesta and Neymar all getting the shits on the plane over here. As an aside, in the unlikely event they fly via Jet2 and try one of their sandwiches this possibility increases ten-fold.
Sans Toure in the first leg, we will again have Fernando "shielding" the back 4 ..... "shudders" - a draw would be a decent result for us at home given our mickey mouse defending of late.
Jovetic can whinge all he wants. He wouldn't have started either game, and at best would have got 10 mins as a sub in one of the two legs.
Don't think Fernando's been that bad when he's been asked to solely shield the back four, in fact he's excelled. The problem with him is when he's asked to play a more expansive game in a two man central midfield he just hasn't got it.
We may actually be better off without Yaya for the first leg, keep things tight and hopefully go to Camp Nou in a few weeks with it all to play for.
As for Jovetic, perfectly understandable and expected reaction for him.
The problem being that when you play Barcelona, it is hard enough to get much possession and retain it anyway. With Fernando in your central midfield - a guy who is utterly useless in possession of the ball - it makes it even worse.
The genuine fear is that like last time, Barca will have the ball 75% of the time, we are left to feed off scraps and chase the ball for 90 mins with the inevitable outcome. Lampard would be the option to consider for the home leg, alongside Fernandinho, Milner, Nasri and Silva in a 5 across the middle with Sergio up top. Fernando should be locked in a cupboard at the CFA until the 90 mins are up - back on topic, he can keep Jovetic company for the game.
Reckon we'll be chasing the ball regardless Ted, that's why I think it may not be a bad thing if Yaya's not in there. Not sure if Frank would have the legs to keep up either.

Has he been injured more than Dzeko this season ? Or produced less when he has played ?
Ted Hughes wrote:Never like players going to the media but I doubt any of the other strikers, nor Kolarov, would have kept quiet about it either.

I think Jovetic has had enough criticism already. He was injured last season, he's done ok this season. He's not the enemy.

Ted, most people are expressing their view why he wasn't picked and a few have just decided to have a pop due to his girly ways. Nothing more.

Lot's of posts are just having a go at Jovetic for the sake of it.

This is a genuine question; when did Kolarov have a moan and go to the paper? Genuine question because I actually don't remember it and would like to read the article.

Really ??
On the other hand, they might just have opinions of their own and are exercising their entitlement to express them..
