I'm not sure why, but this is the least excited I have been about the new season that I can ever remember. I really couldn't give a flying shite what the line up is against Sunderland, other than Fernando shouldn't be in it.

Maybe I'll get enthused when we get under way.

As always, looking forward to the new season. Perhaps this year more than in the last few. Primarily because of Pep. Not necessarily the change in personnel on the pitch, more the anticipated change in attitude both from the management and what they expect of the players and the players themselves putting the shift in.

As it goes I wouldn't say anyone is outright favourite for the PL. At this stage any one of four teams have a good shout of winning it and a couple of others have an outside chance. I put us at having a very good shout, but I am quite calm at the moment at the thought of us not winning the PL as long as we see a big improvement in how we go about our business on the field.

As long as we are thereabouts in March we are in a good place. Tomorrow is going to be like a first date with a hot girl. Just getting to know one another as team mates and the new way Pep will want us to play. A bit of foreplay in preparation for the main event
